Rob's pov

"Robbie is it safe to keep the enemy close?" Preston asked I sighed "No but we have nowhere to put him plus I want more info! He's a murderer!" I yelled slamming the table Preston grabbed my hands pulling me into a hug.

I closed my eyes and hugged him back "any news on Mitch and Seto?" I asked he let's go smiling weakly "Seto was in pretty rough shape but he already woke up something about his sorcerer side keeping him safe right now he is resting, Mitch is already out of surgery and from what they told Jerome Mitch had multiple broken bones that didn't heal right so they had to break them again to fix it and he showed signs of-" he stopped and looked away I frown "Preston?" I ask "a lot of sexual assault " he says quietly I frown and head downstairs to the basement where we had him tied up.

"Robbie!" I hear Preston say I grab a sword "I'm going to kill you!" I yelled Jordan stopping me "hey what's going on?" He asked I growled and moved him "I should kill you for what you did murder," I say James laughed "oh no were you too late? Maybe stay out of things that need meddling" he laughed I pushed the sword deeper he stopped then looked at me "if you don't let me go then this place will burn and if it does maybe I'll take him" he smirked eyeing Preston "over my dead body" I said as he laughed "sure thing" he laughed I was about to swing when Preston stopped me.

"He's just trying to get under your skin" he says I sigh setting the sword down and hugging him "can your father put him in the void or something?" I ask Jordan who sighed "I can ask him when he comes over" he says I nod and sighed "Come on Preston" I mumbled heading upstairs. "Hey, Robbie did you hear how he said we were too late? I think he thinks Mitch and Seto died, maybe we can use that to our advantage " Preston quietly said I nod "I agree but I worry we may have a spy " I quietly say Preston nodding "well then I think the safest thing we can do is keep the recruits out of the general area and unfortunately we have to lie to them and just tell them Seto and Mitch did pass away" Preston said I sighed and nodded "agreed let everyone know of the plan and I'll set something up" I say pulling him close to me.

Jerome's pov

I opened my eyes hearing the machine that was keeping Mitch alive I lifted my head looking at him gently taking his hand in mine "come on Mitch you got this" I mumble shakily.

I hear the door open and saw my mom I sigh shakily "Mom you should NOT be out, I told you it's not safe" I say helping her sit "Ross walked with me but I had to come Mitch is family after all" she mumbled sadly I sigh shakily sitting next to her "I brought some old fashioned medication, especially for his wounds" she mumbled I nod watching her as she put them all over his arms.

"Jerome are you okay?" She asked I shook my head "I'm not, I feel sick" I say she finished and felt my forehead I sighed shakily "not that sick mom, it's the how could I have let this happen to him kind of sick" I mumble softly "what do I do if he never wakes up I could never make that kind of decision" I say shakily gripping my hands together Mom held my hands leaning into me "you won't, it may take time but I know Mitch is going to wake up and when he does he's going to need you" she says I nod.

I hear the door open and see Preston "oh I didn't realize your mom came to visit I can come by later" he says I shook my head "No Preston it's okay is everything okay?" I ask he sighed "me and Rob suspect we have a rat" he says my eyes widen "why would you think that?" I ask he sighed "I just find it strange that both times we find the base they were ahead of us, I think for now it's best the recruits think Seto and Mitch died to see who has a reaction" he says I sighed shakily "I see" I mumble "where's James?" I asked already getting peeved.

"Listen to Jerome he's just going to make you mad he already did it with Rob, your upset and emotional just be here for Mitch" he says I got up "your not on this bed fighting for your life Preston, where is he?" I ask more upset at this point my mom grabbing my arm.

"Stay" she says I sigh angrily and sit down "sorry Preston" I mumbled he walked over and hugged me tightly "It's okay" he mumbled softly I hugged him back.

After a bit Preston and Mom left to make lunch for everyone I laid my head on Mitch's stomach "if your scared of waking up don't be I'm right here I'll be here for you" I say "your safe" I shakily say looking over when I saw one of Seto's students walk in and start Mitch's healing. I watched "how is he?" I asked he sighed "it's pretty bad but he's strong I can feel it" he says.

He kept going then stopped letting the glow surround him "this should speed the healing but I'm not sure how fast" he mumbled I nod "I'll come back in a bit" he says leaving I looked at Mitch laying my head near his hand holding on scared to let go.

I stayed like that for a bit my eyes opened when I felt something move I sat up and saw Mitch's hand twitch "hey I'm right here open your eyes " I quickly say his face scrunched up I quickly yelled for someone to come.

When his eyes opened and we locked eyes he shook his head eyes closing "hey it's me it's okay!" I quickly say he started to tug on the tube down his throat I stopped him "My love relax" I shakily say a nurse quickly came in trying to relax the same sorcerer from early came in saying a spell to calm him down.

Mitch calmed down looking at me he whined out crying -I did too "it's okay " I whined kissing his tears away "he woke up sooner than I expected but that's good that means his will is high" he says sighing in relief "oh thank God Mitch we were all worried" I mumbled fixing the bed slightly so he could sit up "can you breathe on your own?" The sorcerer asked reaching for the breathing tube Mitch flinched and looked away I frown and held his face "It's okay, no one is going to hurt you" I quietly say "maybe it would help if I grabbed Tyler" he says and quickly teleported out.

"Hey, beautiful" I say my forehead on his kissing his cheek I whined feeling his hands on my face "yeah it's me and only me" I mumble softly the sorcerer appears with Tyler making Mitch flinch "little more gentle " I say he sighed walking over the sorcerer leaving "I'm sorry" he mumbled walking over.

"Hey, buddy I'm so glad your awake either blink twice or nod your head "do you feel like you can breathe?" He asked Mitch nodded and he smiled "Okay I'm going to gently pull it out" he says pulling out the tubes Mitch gagged and whined instantly hugging me I hugged him back tightly.

"Hey, Mitch can I check you out and make sure you're okay?" Tyler asked Mitch keeping still his grip on me tight "What if Jerome helps?" He asked I look at Mitch who didn't do anything I gently rub his cheek he flinched again. "Mitch I got you nothing will happen" I mumble softly Mitch nodded.

Tyler smiled "Jerome can you feel down Mitch's sides try to not grips his sides but do any of his ribs feel out of place?" He asked me I slowly do what he says Mitch whimpering I shook my head "No they feel great" I mumble he nods telling me each step Mitch keeps his eye closed.

"Okay Mitch show us your eyes" Tyler said I squeezed his hand as he opened his eyes Tyler stepped back holding up 7 fingers "how many Mitch?" He asked Mitch held up 5 fingers making Tyler give me a look "I wouldn't worry too much he's healing fine. I'll ask the sorcerers to come over to help Mitch heal more and his vision should come back with time" he says I nod and thanked him.

Mitch looked at me hugged me shaking hid breathing shakily I held his hand together "baby" he weakly says I frown "I know Rob told me but don't worry about that now" I say "sorry " he cried shakily I held his face "No don't be this wasn't your fault" I say his eyes closing tightly I gently kissed his cheek he flinched slightly as he cried pushing me away.

He cried harder curling into the bed crying out in pain I hug him tightly "shh it's okay " I quietly say holding his face gently kissing his forehead holding him close to me rubbing his back trying my hardest to calm him down.
