My head was throbbing, as if someone had been hammering into my skull for hours. I was sitting in a wet and cold forest, I couldn't really see at first but my vision was coming back. It was dark, but not to the point where it was pitch black. There was some color but mostly it was a grey sky, i think its around three or four am.
Looking around i see fifteen other people, mostly my age i guessed. There were eight girls, including myself, and eight boys. As i keep looking through the faces i see Luke, Logan, Parker, and Katie. We're all best friends, we have known each other for years. Well except for Luke, i meet him recently. He was already Logans friend, he didn't like me.
When my complete consciousness came back, I noticed my hands were tied back and there was a dusty bandanna around my mouth. I wasn't the only one like this, we all were. As soon as everyone was well awake muffled screams filled the air, no one knew what was happening.
I catch Katie's attention, she isn't screaming or moving she is completely horrified. Her brown eyes are huge they were bright red from endless crying. She just stared at me hoping I could help her. No one could do anything, we were stuck.
Bright lights flashed above us, they were blinding and hot. A sharp pinch in the air echoed until a voice came from old speakers. "Welcome campers" and peppy woman's voice pierced our ears. "Im so glad you could make it!" Our muffled voices began screaming with all our might trying to get help. "Now now no need to be hysterical, we are here to have fun!" The speakers ringed as she talked. "I am you head councilor Candice, we are going to get along great! Im sure of it!" "Now one of the assistant councilors known as the AC's will help you to your cabin!"
A teenage looking girl appeared through the trees "I'm Hana" she said with a forced smile, "I am the AC."
She didn't look very happy, actually she looked just as horrified as us. Hana went around un-tying us, she finally got to me when she cut the rope with her knife i threw my hands in front of me. My wrists were bright red and bruised all around, she then pressed my pockets she took a while, she whispered in my ear "I'm sorry." I still couldn't talk so i just turned around looking at her face. She had green eyes, freckles, and straight brown hair that was thrown up into a bun, she looked sleep deprived.
Once we were all untied she gestured for us to stand up and follow her. I quickly ran up to Logan, he seemed like he was thinking hard. Katie, Parker, and Luke came up to us forming a small bunch. I looked over at Katie, she was still crying. Luke was staring at me like he was mad, he's always mad at me i don't know why, whatever. Parker looked at me then tilted his head toward Luke, i knew he was asking me whats with Luke i just shrugged.
After what seemed forever but was really fifteen minutes Hana stopped walking, we were standing in front of a old cabin, the paint on the side was peeling and some of the roof shingles were gone., there was a sign on the door but I couldn't read what I️t said.
"Ok here we are, go a head claim you bed, your stuff is already in there." And with that she was gone.
Logan grabbed my hand and i grabbed Katie's (i couldn't leave her) and we rushed in. We were the first in and he pointed to a top bunk by the door, i grabbed the bed and pulled Katie towards it. The others rushed in Parker got the bunk under Logan and Luke got a top bunk next to Logan. I sat on top of my bed in criss cross, we all just sat there waiting for something, but what.
"Wow!" Candice's voice echoed through the room. She was still talking to us on speakers, we all looked around and saw where the noise was coming from, an old dusty and partially broken speaker. "I must say, you guys were fantastic! No attempting to attack Hana, and no running away!" She said with delight. "Ok campers you can take off your bandannas, but no screaming please i have a headache" she giggled. I was quite surprised no one had tried to take their bandannas off yet. I reached behind my head and took off my bandanna freeing my mouth, when I brought the bandanna in my sight i was covered in dry blood in the back. I was horrified, I immediately dropped it to the floor and put my hands to the back of my head and felt sticky dry blood.
"Ok now that you all have your beds go a head and change into some pajama or whatever, you'll need some sleep for whats coming up next!" The speaker ringed until she turned it off from her side, wherever she is.
I laid back down on my bed not bothering to change, i dropped my head down to look at Katie she was all ready asleep. I jumped down since she still had her bandanna on, i lifted her head and untied it. To my surprise she had no blood on hers, i look at Parker he was watching me (he had the bunk across from Katie's) still afraid to talk i walk up to him and whisper as quiet as i could "did your bandanna have blood on the back?" He look at me like i was crazy, he shook his head. I was a little worried now and quickly grabbed my bandanna and showed him, he was clearly surprised. He just shrugged and whispered "Get some rest."
I climbed up the ladder into my bed and laid back, I hadn't realized how tired i was till now. I began trying to remember what happened. It all stared to come back.
