You got me feeling some type of way, baby girl.
I groaned as I noticed the bright sun rays beating down on me. I rolled over to the side of the bed but noticed Tre's body still asleep. I pushed him to get some more room on the bed.
"What?" he asked and opened his eyes. He immediately shut them once he noticed the sun.
"Scoot over," I groaned. I continued to push his body with my arms and feet but he wouldn't bulge.
"No, because then the sun is gonna be in my face," Tre said and gathered the rest of the blanket, exposing my bare legs. I had already felt uncomfortable sharing the bed with him because of what happened last night. I huffed and got up.
The most thing that I disliked was when someone messed with me in the morning. I'm not a morning person, and I most definitely love my sleep. I walked towards the living room and lied down. I grabbed his sweater that was still on the couch and used it to cover my legs. His couches were extremely comfortable so I didn't mind. I curled myself up and closed my heavy eyelids.
Moments later I heard his footsteps and felt his presence hover over my body. I felt his lips starting to kiss my cheek and then my forehead repetitively.
"Wake up, we still have to go to your little brother's party thing," his arms wrapped around me. He lied on top of me and then gripped my sides. I shut my eyes for a few more minutes just so I could rest a bit more. "Toya." He whispered and pecked my lips. I'm not sure why he started being so affectionate, but it's not like I don't mind anyway.
"Get off," I said and pushed his naked chest away from me. He sighed and sat on the edge of the couch.
A small silence fell between us as we stared at each other. He spoke, "When can we talk about what happened? I don't want to make you uncomfortable or anything."
I sat up and glanced up. I could tell he desperately wanted to know and he wanted to help. So, I told him everything, from getting snatched and then harassed. He held me through it all and gave me kisses. I've never felt so loved and wanted than before and we weren't even dating or anything like that. He sure did know how to make me fall for his charm.
"I'll be here for you, Bambi," he smiled.
I furrowed my eyebrow and pulled away from the hug. "Did you just call me another girl's name? Um, Tre, wrong girl. My name is-"
He chuckled, "No, Bambi is a deer."
"Oh, why did you call me that?"
He shrugged, "I have my reasons, Bambi." He snickered once more and walked away from the couch before I could speak. 'Bambi' is just a deer, right?
I went into his bedroom and freshened up while he cooked a small breakfast. I threw on a shirt and some jeans after my cold shower and headed back to the kitchen. I watched Trevante decorate two plates. I grabbed two glasses and helped him pour orange juice into the glasses.
He set the plates down and then we began to eat. Every now and then, he'd burst out laughing or giggling about something. It made me laugh back at his goofy self.
"I got a question," he nudged my arm.
"What?"
"How come you're not like hurt about what happened? Well, I know you're hurt and all, but you aren't showing it. Like, you're still smiling and laughing. Shouldn't you be crying or something?" he asked. I noticed how his jaw would tighten and his gaze would become stronger as he stared at me. I felt my cheeks burn.
"I am hurt, don't get me wrong, but you've sort of helped me overcome it. Like, that night I was shattered and all, but you worried me more because you were literally bleeding." He chuckled and then I continued. "That got my mind off of it a bit but not much. The pain still reminds me of it kinda but that's going away. And then just knowing that I'm about to see my little brother in a couple of hours makes me happy."
