"I'm kinda scared to sit this close." Jade held onto my arm as we walked along the sidelines. Attendants and refs ran all over the place trying to get everyone ready for the second half.
"Why? You're basically on the field, you get to see all the up close and personal shit." She looked around.
"I know but... What if I get hit?"
"With a football?"
"Yes! Or what if one of you run off the side thingy?"
"Then get the hell out the way." She gave me a straight face making me laugh. I brought Jade to where Issy was seated. She always at the home games. She's drunk the whole time but at least she's here.
"Issy this is Jade, Jade this is my best friend Issy."
Jade frowned. "I know who she is."
Issy stood up. "Wassup beautiful. It's been a while?"
What am I missing?
"Mhm. A long while."
I stood between them. "How do you know each other?"
"She's my girl's friend. But uh, we used to date before me and Queen got to together."
I raised my eyebrows. Jade plays first base for the other team?
"Ha! You took me out on one date and pulled up already drunk. Then in the middle of the date I had to drive her home since she threw up on the lady next to us."
Issy laughed. "I don't remember that part. But that definitely sounds like some shit I would do."
Jade frowned before she opened her mouth.
Let me jump in before she say something that's gonna cause a scene. Lord knows I don't need my name in anymore shit. "Heyyy. Why don't we talk about this later? Issy, Jade is gonna sit with you. She's gotta backstage pass just like you, so be nice to her." Jade smacked Issy's drink out her hand making it fly to the ground.
"Wooowww! Child ass! My henny- bro c'mon man. Don't say shit to me. You better buy me another drink."
"I ain't gotta do shit."
"Man, fuck you." Issy went back to the VIP seating area next to some of the other players families. I turned to Jade and she looked at me.
"What?"
"You gay?"
She rolled her eyes with this slick ass smile. "When I see another beautiful woman why not take her out and see how things go? I'll put it like that." She said with a shrug.
