Third person
"Beckham on the field."
Odell took his helmet from Jade before running out on the bright green grass. It was the last five minutes of the game and the two teams were tied, 24-24. The ball was to the Giants and all they needed was one last touchdown or to run the clock out for overtime.
Odell stretched quickly as they waited for the ref to resume the game from the time out. They were going over a foul that was put on Jelani. It was a call on unnecessary roughness. Instead of dealing with the extra drama coach let them call foul on him. No sense of wasting time when the could be paying right? Even though Odell had been roughed around in the last quarter, coach knew he could put him in to save their asses in the last seconds of the game.
Speaking of Odell, a feet away from him he watched David whispering with a player from the Vikings. The other guy felt his gaze as pointed to him making David turn around with a mug.
"I'll talk to you later man. Good looks bro." David said as he jogged to the other side of the field. The man he was talking to was the Jermaine Atwood. The Vikings number one linebacker. Known for great tackles on the field. He was a force to be reckoned with. As intimidating as he looked Odell was starstruck.
"What you looking at?" He asked Odell with a annoyed look showing through his visor.
"I'm just looking at the hottest linebacker in the NFl right now." Jermaine's face softened. "I'm a huge fan, I'm Odell." He stuck out his gloved hand.
"I know who you are man." He accepted the friendly gesture.
The ref blew his whistle. "Line it up, we're about to start."
"Good luck out there rook." Jermaine jogged to the other ends or the field.
Odell stood there frozen. "He just wished me good luck."
"Beckham come on!" Eli called.
He ran to the right side of the field looking at his hand. "I'm never washing this hand again."
In the announcers stand...
"Alright ladies and gentlemen welcome back to the last quarter at the MetLife stadium. We are in the final sixty seconds after a brief timeout. We have a amazing game, the Vikings and the Giants here in New Jersey, they're neck and neck currently. Both teams with the score of twenty-four. I'm Todd Andrea, your announcer for today's game, thank you for watching. Jason couldn't be here today his wife is delivering their fifth child today, so congratulations to tge both of them. We wish you both the best of luck. Now back to the game. Our referees quickly discussed the foul on Jermaine Wallace a Wide Receiver for the Giants. He had been tackled by a player on the opposing team and it lead to a little fight here on the field. If you look here at our rewind you see him throw a few blows on Taylor Davis and the refs weren't having that obviously. So they put Odell Beckham Junior in as his replacement. Which I think is an excellent choice. Beckham always pushes through when they're in a sticky situation like this. If you look at tge both left of your screen you'll see Eli just walked back on the field and is getting right into action."
Eli called out a play before yelling out hike.
"Manning throws the ball to Beckham and he catches it and it's taking it down the fidgety yard line. Number fifteen on the Vikings going for Beckham's legs but he jumps out the way. He's literally dodging everything thrown at him. He's an unstoppable force- wait here comes Atwood from left field gunning straight for him... I don't think he's fast enough to catch Odell. Beckham is going to make it to the end zo- Atwood Is coming full force! Beckham is going down, he's not gonna make it. It's too many on his heels for him to make it. Atwood is going for a tackle! Beckham is down! They're making a dog pile on top of him trying to reach for tge ball. There's no telling whats going on in there. Refs are getting the players off Beckham quickly trying to make the call. The clock has ran out. As soon as we see where that ball is the two teams might be going into overtime. Beckham got hit pretty hard There's no way he held onto that ball. There's probably ten-eleven players on him, he could be seriously hurt under there. Allen Matheson referee number nine is pulling them up trying to get to Beckham from under the rubble. Our camera crew is rien tigers trying to see what's going on. Atwood is up but he's is in the way of the camera. But wait! WAIT! Hold on a second... The camera had full view no and BECKHAM IS DOWN BUT HE'S GOT THE BALL IN THE END ZONE. THAT'S IT THE GIANTS WIN GAME FIVE!" The crowd sounded like a loud hiss as the high pitched screams from the fans in the stands.
But they hadn't even noticed that their one hand wonder hadn't gotten off the floor.
"I can't feel my legs." Odell cried out. "I can't feel my legs."
The ref pulled his walky from his hip. "Someone can an ambulance."
