200 Miles Off The Coast Of Nova Scotia

"Congratulations. We made it." Sybil heard Shane whisper to himself. She rolled her eyes and glanced at the wooded area of the island; past the beach where she and the others were. A lump formed in her throat at the thought of actually finding Silas. Shane turned to face her, his hand touched her shoulder which gave her an odd feeling. Was he really in this for anything other than his own selfish purposes? Of course not; She was an immortal psychic; she knew.

"Hm?"

"You ok?"

"Don't ask a two thousand year old immortal girl, who is about to see her father after two thousand sum years, if she's ok. Of course I'm not." It was clear everyone there was uncertain of what was to come. Sybil didn't have to read their minds to know that.

For the sake of everyone's privacy and human decency, she blocked out the minds of most people. If she needed information, she'd take it. She ran her slender fingers through her brown hair and let out an exhausted sigh.

Shane seemed understanding and nodded then walked over to Damon, who was sharpening a knife on the beach. "Couldn't they have hidden this cure in Hawaii?" The eldest Salvatore questioned, sarcastically. "Where the hell did you take us?"

"Two hundred miles off the Nova Scotia mainland." Sybil answered, walking to the other side of him.

"If you recall, the whole point was to hide the cure on the world's most obscure, desolate island." Shane finished. Partly uncomfortable with the fact that Sybil had spoken the exact words he was going to say. "And Sybil, please don't read my mind."

Damon ignored his last comment, still annoyed. "Oh yeah? I thought the whole point was that no one found Silas, the oldest, deadliest freak in the world."

"He's not a freak, Damon. He's my father."

"Yeah, that too." Shane added, awkwardly then held up sunscreen and offered it to the both of them. "Sunscreen?"

"Is that a joke?"

"Right..."

Sybil frowned after the Professor walked away and turned back to Damon. "Listen, I understand my dear ol' daddy might not be a 'good guy' but, please do not speak negatively of him."

"Hey, it's not my fault daddy Silas is an ancient psychic freak."

That sent her over the edge; Sybil narrowed her green eyes at him, watching with pleasure as he started choking. Being psychic had a few perks. Or a lot. "Do not test me, boy. I have centuries on you. You are nothing compared to me."

"Stop!" A strong pair of arms yanked her backwards breaking the spell. "Stop it, the both of you."

"I'm stronger than you Rebekah!" Sybil hissed, letting the original vampire hold her back.

"I don't care." Rebekah said, tightening her grip.

Little Elena, the one who wore Amara's face, stepped foreword. "No one is killing anyone today."

"Wasn't it you who tried killing my friend?" Sybil chuckled darkly. Her green eyes glared harshly at the young doppelgänger.
