A Kiss of Insanity
Joe's P.O.VShe stood there, speechless. I looked up at her, my eyes wide in shock, and in that moment I felt like I was staring into her soul.
A confused look plastered over my face as we looked at one another in awe.
She looked into my eyes and a small smile crept up her lips. I don't know what came over me, but seeing her after so long felt like a dream come true.
"Noelle, baby."
The words slipped out of my mouth unknowingly and before I knew it, she ran towards me, pulling me into her as she wrapped her arms around my neck.
What the hell am I doing? I'm supposed to be mad at her, she was the one who pushed me away in the first place.
What the hell am I thinking? I can't stay mad at her, that's my girl we're talking about here.
I rested my head on her shoulder and wrapped my arms around her waist, breathing onto her neck softly.
"I-I missed you," she whispered.
"You did?"
She breathed out, nodding against my shoulder. "I did, I really did. Even though it's only been a month, I feel like I haven't seen you in so long."
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding as she untightened her arms from around me.
"That's not my fault now, is it?" I tilted my head questioningly.
"Elle!" A voice called out from the kitchen, "who's at the door?"
"It's Joe!" she shouted back, shutting the door behind her as I walked in.
"I'm coming, I'm coming!" Ashley said, excitement rising in her voice.
She made her way quickly down the stairs, and ran into my arms, with a shy smile grazing her lips.
Noelle smiled softly, although jealousy was obviously tattooed on her forehead. She leaned against the doorway and stood there staring at me as I hugged Ashley for what seemed like forever.
"Hey guys," she said, finally speaking up, "I have some work to do, I'll catch up with you later. Have fun, but not too much fun yeah?"
Ashley rolled her eyes as she watched her best friend walk upstairs.
"Oh and Joe?" Elle turned around, tilting her head to see me. "It's not, um.. its not your fault."
Noelle smiled and I swallowed nervously as goosebumps trickled their way down my back.
What is this girl doing to me?
I watched Noelle as she walked up the stairs, my eyes lighting up with every movement she made.
Ashley coughed, noticing my stare.
"Oh- um, sorry Ash."
She let out a sad sigh, "it's fine."
"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked worriedly.
She shook her head, letting out a soft chuckle. "As if you don't know."
I gave her a confused look. "If I do I wouldn't be asking you, seriously Ashley, what's wrong? Did I do something?"
Her eyes shot up, and she crossed her arms to her chest. "No, you didn't. Everything is perfectly fine."
