Arwin found himself in a very dark room and someone was standing a few steps away from him. There was no mistaking the outline. Arwin knew it was someone he knew but for the life of it, he couldn't bring identify who it was.
It was a boy, a head taller than him and if he squinted he could make out wavy hair falling on his head.
There were red dots where his eyes should have been and he could also make out a smirking mouth.
His whole body shivered in terror. He wanted to run. He gave in to the impulse and turned around to start running.
He couldn't see where he was running though. It was all just pitch blackness. He just hoped he didn't collide with something.
Suddenly he felt as if he wasn't moving at all or if he was running ahead but the road was moving backwards.
He had to keep running in order to not be taken backwards towards the ---the monster that was waiting for him.
He knew he had to keep running. He couldn't be caught by him again. Wait, again? Had it happened before?
He looked back to check if the monster was still there and wished that he hadn't because he saw that the monster was closing in on him with lazy almost mocking strides.
He put all his energy into running ahead and found that it actually turned harder for himself to maintain it.
He tried to scream for help but his lips were glued together and won't move.
In the struggle to run faster, he fell down on the ground and tried to crawl away from him but in a flash, the monster is already holding his hands and pinning them above his head.
It was dark and he couldn't see his features but knew that it was him. He felt him lay on his body and press hard on him. Air escaped his lungs and he found it hard to breathe from both, the weight above him and the panic.
He struggled desperately to keep his face away from him but the monster was also adamant.
He twisted Arwin's hands and a sharp cry escaped his mouth. And horrified, Arwin realised that even then, he didn't hear himself cry.
Arwin starts crying in pain desperately but his sobs are muted. And then he heard it. A mocking laughter.
He wished he hadn't though. It seemed to come from everywhere, the walls, the sky and even the floor. He wanted to scream for it to stop.
He felt the monster's breath near his neck and shivers. The monster caresses his neck and a chill runs down his spine.
He realised what was going to happen. He knew what was coming and he didn't' want it to happen. He couldn't. So, he started struggling again.
The monster growls, "I will make you mine! No one will ever like you. No one will ever love you. I have marked you. You will have no choice but to come back to me."
Arwin felt sinking dread with every word and just sobbed more. He wanted to scream but again no sound escaped his mouth.
Arwin found himself started panting and crying over his fate.
He didn't like the touch at all and yet he could feel all his body being touched in the most repulsive way. It was oddly reminiscent and it made him want to curl in on himself.
Arwin felt the monster moving down to his chest, towards his stomach and still found himself unable to move.
Someone was screaming in pain and suddenly the monster started shaking him up and shouting at him, "wake up, Arwin! Wake up!"
And he screamed at them to go away and even started clawing at them, pushing them but suddenly his eyes opened to a white light and he found himself disorientated.
*I was apprehensive about rewriting this one initially but then I found that this really is an important chapter. I am happy that it fits here. Thoughts please! Updated on 24/08/20*
