*Earlier, this was planned to be the last chapter of this book which was to continue in the sequel but now I am inclined to continuing the story in this book itself.*
*A few months ago*
Arwin really liked waking up early. He just loved the way, the morning breeze blew over his face and the headstart it gave him.
Usually his mother was the first to wake up in the house. Sometimes when his dad woke up early, they would go out on a walk in the neighbourhood.
He enjoyed them a lot but he also knew that his dad needed rest as well after working double shift in the factory.
His dad had this policy of not going back to bed again if he ever woke up in the morning.
According to him, only lazy people could afford to do that and he wasn't lazy. Arwin couldn't argue that.
Today was a special day, it had already been a year for him at Argent high.
While he would miss Rowan being around but he had heard that there would be new admissions to the class and he was looking forward to have an opportunity to make new friends, start afresh.
Arwin was grinning. He was going to the first class of his high school and he wanted to be ready on time to feel at ease with everything in the school.
He had been offered a scholarship to study at Argent high and he felt so lucky.
Being in the new school was difficult, hell It was difficult enough to just keep up with all the homework the teachers gave them last year and the students, well they were another story.
Arwin was introduced to a whole new world of gadgets and languages. The students at Argent high used a lot of words he had never heard of.
It was a struggle to fit in there but last year Rowan was there to keep him company and it was good.
Apart from the occasional bullies and shade from some of the students for being poor, not many people bothered him. Most of them were indifferent. It suited Arwin just fine.
There were just too many readings to do. He had also heard tales of horrific amount of projects and reports that were assigned in this class and it strangely filled him with resolve to prove himself more.
He could take it. He would keep up with it. There was this uneasiness in his stomach though. He blamed it on the anticipation.
Sometimes he wondered if he would have been better off at his old school where he actually had friends but most of them lived farther away and he rarely saw them last year after he changed schools.
He missed them. He just wished he would make some interesting new friends this year but probably that would be asking for a bit too much.
He reminded himself to be grateful for the opportunity to attend Argent high.
He nodded at himself. He was ready for whatever fate had in store for him.
*This was one chapter I had to change the most but I am so happy to finally move on to writing more of this story. Updated on 25/08/20*
