Chapter 9 (Hayes’s POV)
“Devyn, wake up princess,” I gently woke her until she sat up a little straighter.
“Are we there?” she asked.
“Yes baby, we’re here,” she picked up her backpack and I interlocked our hands.
We stepped off the plane and grabbed our luggage from inside. I learned that Door County was the top part of the peninsula in Wisconsin. The airport was in the southern part of the county, from what I hear the best part was the northern part. We were staying in a condo in a town called Ellison Bay.
“H, look! It’s so pretty here!” Devyn whispered.
I looked at her amazement and laughed.
We all piled up in a couple cars and headed towards Ellison Bay.
“Ellison,” Devyn murmured. “Where is that familiar?”
Ellison. Ell-I-Son. Ellison.
I know!
“Devyn! Ellison is the name of our son!” I whispered back to her. She gave me weird look. “In the dream!”
“No way. This is getting creepy.”
Our car pulled into a complex labeled Bayview Resort and Harbor. I shivered as I jumped into the chilly air.
This whole dream thing is really weird. I feel like I’ve been here before.
“Nash, have we been here before?” I ask.
“Not that I know of.”
I sigh and grab Devyn’s hand. She looked really cute today. She was wearing one of my football t-shirts, Pink leggings, and cute little sandals with silver sparkles on them. Her hair was in a messy bun, and she wasn’t wearing any makeup. She looked adorable.
I looked up into the cloudy sky and felt a raindrop fall onto my head. It was a beautiful place here in Door County, but with the rain it made my first impression a little gloomy.
Our house was really nice. It was styled with decorations that represented Door County. There were little ships everywhere, lots of paintings and pictures, and the thing that made it unique was the immediate feel of being at home. It wasn’t a hotel. Not at all. It was a home. Devyn and my room was a good size. There were two beds, the same as all the other rooms.
“Taylor, are we doing anything today or are we just hanging out?” she asks.
“Just hanging out if it’s okay with you,” he said.
Everyone was in our cozy living room. It was just a great day to lie around. We turned the TV on and started to watch a program on ESPN about football. Both Devyn and my eyes lit up.
“Keep it on this guys! I love football!” Devyn screamed.
Matthew chuckled, “Hayes, this girl is so right for you.”
Devyn blushed and kept her eyes on the screen.
“Looks like you love football just as much as you love dance,” I whispered into her ear.
She shook her head. I looked over to Taylor and Cameron. They had the remote in their hands. They were laughing silently. Taylor switched the channel.
“Taylor!” Devyn screamed and snatched the remote from him. “I was watching that!”

Later that night (Devyn’s POV)
“Goodnight Hayes,” I whisper as I fall asleep.
We pushed the two beds together a little while before.
I really hoped I wouldn’t have any more dreams. I mean, it was cool to see into what I hope is the future. It was really creepy though.
But I guess my wishes weren’t granted. Thanks, fairy godmother.
We were at a big convention hall. There was a big banner behind us that said Magcon Family Reunion.
All the boys were on stage messing around. I was sitting in a chair offstage.
Hayes called me up and he took my hand. He pulled out a folding chair and I sat down.
Shawn pulled out a guitar. Jack and Jack were standing beside Shawn and the boys were scattered around the stage.
Shawn started strumming his guitar to a really familiar song.
I just can’t remember the name of it though.
Jack, Jack, and Shawn were singing the song.
Cam, Tay, and Nash were doing some dance. It had twerking in it. Go figure.
Hayes disappeared to somewhere.
Carter and Matt were tossing a football around while Aaron was also nowhere to be found.
A voice came in through the air.
Mr. Hayes Grier would like to make an announcement!
Hayes and Aaron walked in front of me. Aaron patted his back and Hayes grabbed a microphone.
“As you all know, this is my beautiful girlfriend, Devyn Emersyn Rhodes. And I would like to change her last name to Grier.”
I gasped and put my hand over my mouth.
He got on one knee and pulled out a big diamond ring.
“Devyn, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?”
I nodded my head and kissed him.
“I love you Grier.”
I jolted up from my deep sleep. Hayes felt me sit upright and jolted up as well.
“You too?” he asked.
