The Second Encounter
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I opened my eyes. My eyes fell upon the ceiling fan. I turned to the clock on the nightstand. It was one o'clock. I had gotten out near twelve. I slept for an hour. I guess I could go back and get my swords. I made my way back to the facility. I tried to jump to the roofs when I remembered. I had this stupid collar on me. Blocking my powers. It wasn't enough to keep all my power contained. I was too powerful. It kept just enough in to make me not that dangerous though. I made it to the top of the roofs. I looked down on the facility. I scanned the place for a way in. Besides the front door. I jumped down in the yard. It was a big open field with fence surrounding it. I hid behind a wall from the gaurds watching from their towers. I snuck around the facility. I made it to the room. Where all the items they held were. I made my way inside. I looked around. I heard a noise. I hid behind one of the shelves. I looked through them, trying to see the person. I couldn't get a good look. It was a woman though, based on the heels of her shoes. I could hear them hitting the ground. I moved around, avoiding being spotted by her. I didn't hear her. I couldn't see her either. "Hello again" I heard her voice. I backed up. She was on top of the shelves. She had her legs crossed. "Your not good at sneaking around are you?" She twirled her hair. I kept looking around. "Looking for these?" She held my two swords by the edge. "Yes" I answered. I walked underneath her. "Can I have them?" I asked. She shook her head. "Naw" she put them on the top of the shelf next to her. I growled. "They're mine" I stated. "I know.." She said with a sly smile. "You can't just get them that easily..." She says. "I snuck in here" I said folding my arms. "You do something for me, I'll do something for you" she says. I groan at the thought of doing her a favor. "Who are you anyway" I ask. She jumped down off the shelf. "Well, do you wanna know my name or get your swords?" She asked. I rolled my eyes. I held out my hand, gesturing her to leave first. She flicked her tail and walked out. My body heat was getting worse. I felt hot. Barely able to keep awake. "I make a distraction and you go in there and grab a file" She stated her plan. "What file?" "It's marked 'D'. It will be in the first filing cabinet" she says. Something tells me this isn't her first time doing this. She ran out. "Now" she told me. "Hey boys! Nice day today" she taunted the guards. All their attention was on her. I ran into the office with all the files. I found the 'D' files. I searched through them. Seeing all kinds of different names. I found the one marked 'D'. I picked it up. I wonder why she wanted this. I was about to open it. She came in the room and grabbed it from me. In a rush. "Come on slowpoke!" She said as she passed me. I saw the gaurds chasing her with guns. I ran after her. I heard theirs guns go off behind us. I tried to keep up with her as much as I could. It was hard with the collar on. We were a fair amount of distance from the facility after a few minutes of running. She jumped up somewhere. Great, she's abandoning me and taking off with my swords. I was grabbed by the collar of my shirt. I was pulled up to a roof. Sure enough, the crazy girl was there. "Let go" I said to her. She looked at me and smiled. She walked a few inches, dragging me along, then dropped my shirt collar. I sat up and rubbed the front of my neck. "Too rough?" She said with the rough being like a dog. I stood up with my hand out. She rolled her eyes. She took my swords off of her and handed them to me. "Thanks" I said as I was about to walk away. "Pleasure doing business with you" she said from behind me. I stopped for a moment. I turned around. "You leaving or not?" She asked peering over an air conditioning box on the roof. "Not" I stated. I walked over to her. "Who are you? What was that file?" I asked her. Those were the questions on my mind right now. Quite frankly, the only thing. "Hold it boy. Those are questions I can't answer" she replied back to me. "You'll have to do more favors if you want answers" She says with a smirk. "What favors?" I asked a bit reluctantly. She smiled. She grabbed the bottom of my shirt and dragged me down. We were both crouching behind the air conditioning box now. "There's this diamond I want from a museum" she tells me. "Can't you get it yourself?" I asked. "You want answers or not?" She said frowning. I sighed. "Now, you go get it for me and I might consider answering one of your questions" she says all perky. "Might?" I repeat. She frowns at me. "Okay, I will" she stands up. I stand up with her. She holds out her hand. I take it and shake it. She gives me a mini finger salute and flips off the roof. Looks like I'm running errands for a psycho fox lady. I mean, she's got to be crazy. I jumped off the roof and headed back to my apartment. I saw police their at the apartments. I turned back. I started running off in the other direction. Looks like I can't stay there. I made my way to- I don't know exactly. I ended up at the docks. I climbed a few crates. I laid down and closed my eyes. I guess I'll wait for further instructions from the fox lady.
