Can I Be Your Happiest Memory?

"What are you thinking about, Frank?" Gerard asks me, curiosity lacing through all his words.
I sigh happily, "Just my happiest memory." I close my eyes and vision the whole scene. It's of when my mom and dad took me and Gerard to Six Flags. It was the best day ever.
"You have a happiest memory?" He asks, giving me a weird look. He asked it like it's impossible to have one.
"Mhm," I hum in response.
He repositions himself on the couch we're sitting on so he can face me, "What's the memory of?"
I reposition myself as well so I can face him and quickly explain what it is, not having to give any details because he was there.
"That was a good day," Gerard replies, smiling. I assume he's remembering the day as well.
"What's you're happiest memory, Gee?" I sit criss-cross-applesauce and lean forward, interested in what his happiest memory is.
He just sighs and rests his head against the back of the couch, "I don't have one," he admits with a frown.
"What? How can't you have a happiest memory? Everyone does!" I exclaim, throwing my arms in the air.
"Not me," he mumbles and sinks into the couch a little bit.
"Not even the day at Six Flags?" I ask, a little sad. One of the main reasons that day is my happiest is because I got to spend all day with the boy I love.
"No... I don't... I just don't have a happiest memory, Frank," he sighs and rubs his hands on his face.
"I can help you create one!" I exclaim, scooting closer to him.

"Frank, please, you don't have to do this," Gerard says as I drag him along the sidewalk to one of our favorite places to go, Iero's. It's a restaurant here in town that, obviously, my family owns.
"Shh, I want you to have a happiest memory." I keep dragging him along the sidewalk, him blind folded and stumbling.
"At least slow down so I don't trip," he begs, tugging me backwards.
I slow down to a normal pace and and just hold his hand so I can still lead him.
"Can I know where you're taking me?" He asks, a hopeful tone coating his words.
"No, it's a surprise." I nudge his shoulder with mine, causing him to stumble and almost fall.
He sighs while steadying himself and nudges me back, almost missing.
"Well, I want to know that you aren't taking me somewhere so you can murder me!" He exclaims, waving his free arm around in and overly exaggerated way.
"Me? Take you, my best friend in the whole wide world, somewhere to get murdered? I would never!" I shout back, laughing by the end.
He doesn't reply, just smiles and chuckles, tightening his grip on my hand.
When we walk into Iero's, we're greeted by my uncle, who basically gives away the surprise because Gerard is so familiar with his voice.
"You blind folded me just to take me to a restaurant we come to at least once a week?" He asks, untying and removing the blind fold.
I smile at him and nod.
"Well, it's always nice to see my favorite nephew," Uncle says and ruffles my hair, "You too, Gerard."
