The loud clang that resulted after two separate blades hit each other cut through the air, filling the ears of four different beings.

Diamond shifted her gaze from her beloved cat to the saviour of said cat. The elemental teenager was already speechless, but the appearance of the newest person in the scene made her loose all options for words.

"Whisper," the person, a female teen somewhere around Diamond's age said. "You idiot! Your orders were to avoid hurting the cat!" She placed her hands on her hips, just above a belt that held a tanto blade inside its sheath. The armour that she was wearing glinted in the faint light of the half moon, and her odd black and red makeup design stood out against her pale skin. Her ruby red lips were pursed with annoyance.

"Well, Karai," Whisper sneered, the fact he was still holding Ivy forgotten, "I was just using the stupid animal to my advantage! What do you think Bradford taught me?"

The girl Whisper had called Karai raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. "To listen to the orders given to you?" She suggested, her voice just as cold as her narrowed caramel eyes. Karai took a step towards Whisper, and Diamond realised the bottom of her odd hairdo was dyed blonde. The top of her hair and the two locks of longer hair either side of her face were left untouched, her natural hair colour black.

Whisper forced the two into an argument by saying, "Shredder told us to bring her to him for the deal. I was just taking the opportunity." His quiet tone was surprisingly stern, although Karai wasn't buying it. Diamond noted they were distracted and reached out one hand (Since her other one was still holding Whisper's shuriken), using the air element to force the fingers keeping Ivy in Whisper's grasp apart, and she floated the tabby to her regular position on the elemental teenager's shoulder.

This action caught Karai and Whisper's attention, and Diamond gulped. Ivy flattened her ears against her head as Diamond asked, "Should I be relieved... or twice as afraid?"

Karai and Whisper looked at each other, and it appeared that their argument had been forgotten. Whisper was the one who spoke.

"Oh, you should be scared... very scared."

Whisper started to run at Diamond, and Karai suddenly disappeared from view. Diamond yelped in fear and made a run for it, eyes wide. Ivy mewed softly on her shoulder, also terrified. After a second Ivy also gave a warning hiss, and Diamond stopped in time to avoid having Karai's foot connect with her face. She only just dodged Whisper's attempt to grab the clothing on her torso- which was now only a green, long-sleeved top, without the jacket covering it- and bolted forwards again as both Karai and Whisper continued to run after her.

Her belongings forgotten, Diamond reached the edge of the rooftop and tried to jump across to the other side of the street. The building she was aiming for was a little higher than the one she'd just jumped off, but it was the most similar in height around.

Diamond wasn't trained for jumping rooftops, which was the reason she plummeted towards the street no sooner than a few seconds after she had jumped. The elemental teenager looked at the rooftop she had been aiming for and used the air element to fly herself back up. She landed on the rooftop, turned right so she'd be crossing smaller gaps and started running again. Diamond gave Ivy a brief pat as she whispered, "I'm going to get us out of here, don't worry," in-between each quick pant that passed her dry lips.

Diamond reached the edge of the second rooftop and pushed off again. This time she did not hesitate to use the air element to push herself across the small gap and to the next building.

When Diamond landed, she started running again but glanced behind her. The elemental teenager gasped and forced her legs to go faster, as Whisper and Karai were right on her heels, and they appeared to not have had any trouble with the roof jumping at all.
