Another week had passed since Ivy got mutated, gaining her powers. Donatello had shown interest in doing a few small tests on said new powers, but was still a little too busy trying to find the origin of Diamond's powers to start that project.

That, and Diamond had seen him working on some sort of robot as well.

Speaking of Diamond, she'd continued her ninjitsu training with Splinter. While she was certainly keeping her Tae-Kwon-Do moves, her new training and the different style she was learning was starting to form her previous skills into more ninjitsu like ones.

Diamond was currently practicing in the dojo with April. Splinter observed their movements, catching everything that needed improvement in any of the two's moves.

"Diamond, relax," Splinter said. "The power in your punches should not come from a tensed fist. Give it more speed, and you will gain power that way instead. Use your shoulders and your hips to strengthen it further."

Diamond paused and glanced over at Splinter and Ivy. Ivy was sitting beside the mutant rat as she watched her owner train.

The elemental teenager didn't hesitate to mentally give herself a slap on the head. She knew what Splinter had been said from her Tae Kwon Do, but she'd been so focused in trying not to make any mistakes that she'd made a mistake.

Oh, it's so annoying, she thought to herself as she punched again, this time making sure to relax and gain power from speed and the rest of her body, like she'd been taught. I tell myself not to make a mistake or to just do something normal, and then I stuff up.

Diamond watched as April jumped, the latter twisting around, managing a compete 360 turn, kicking out with her leg as she did so.

As soon as the psychic red-head landed, Splinter called, "Yame!"

The two girls stopped and turned to face the mutant rat, kneeling respectfully afterwards.

Ivy ran to Diamond, jumping onto her shoulders with a mighty leap before settling down on said limbs.

"You both did very well," Splinter said.

They both smiled and nodded their thanks.

"Diamond," Splinter said, turning to said girl.

The elemental teenager inhaled slowly, expecting something to do with the error she'd made in her punching technique.

"I believe it is time for you to find a weapon."

Diamond's head and gaze snapped up, her green eyes meeting Splinter's brown ones. "R-really?" She stammered, surprised.

Splinter smiled. "Yes. You have shown good progress since the beginning of your training, and I believe now would be a good time to receive your weapon of choice."

Diamond smiled and glanced over at April. The latter gave an encouraging smile to the elemental teenager.

They both turned back to the front. Splinter looked at them and said, "Tachiagaru." (Translation: Stand up.)

Diamond didn't hesitate and did just that, as did April.

Splinter then looked at April, saying, "Stay there."

April nodded, and watched as Splinter lead Diamond away, to the wall that had weapons all over it.

Ivy meowed, looking at all the weapons.

Nunchucks, many types of Bō, Kusarigama chains, a Najinata, a few Ono, Sai, many different sizes of swords and quite a few more were on the wall. There was also a lone tessen. It was metal, like April's, and it was the same size, except it was plain- it had no decorations, nor did it have the Hamato clan symbol.
