Katie's dark secret

The Quest

~~Travis POV~~

Out of all the monsters that it could be it was a BLOODY HYDRA! The only way to kill it is with fire or blowing it up. Katie is to injured to fight and all I have is a sword.

I am going to die.

"Travis!" Katie hisses "stay away from the door, it might see you."

"I don't think it will realise we are up here, so we are safe for now."

"Unless it sees you by the door no it won't know we are here."

"Do you need some more nectar?"

"No Travis."

"Then go lie down, you have barley slept."

"I'm to scared to go to sleep."

"Huh? Why?"

"Normally I ether get demigod dreams, bad memory flashbacks or nightmares."

"It okay, Katie."

I lead her to the bed and lie her down. She closes her eyes and I head for the door

"Don't leave." She whispers

I smile and walk over to her and lie down next to her.

She cuddles into my chest "I'm not going anywhere." I whisper

With that we both fall asleep

"Hydra!" A girls voice yells

I wake up instantly.

I search for Katie. She is still here so who was the girl?

I get up and run to the door and open it outside I see a girl and a boy fighting the Hydra.

The boy chucks things into the Hydra's mouths and then it explodes.

"Miranda?" Katie yells down at the girl coming to the door

The Miranda and the boy look up. OHMYGODS it's Conner. Why are they here?

They slowly climb up the ladder and come in the door. The look like a mess, scratched and bruised, hair all messed up, tired. When Miranda sees Katie she tackles her into a hug

"We weren't sure if you two were okay, then prophecy was told and we were sent on a quest and we needed you two to come and we ran into lots of monsters. We could see the house in the distance and battled the Hydra. didn't Percy kill that in Rome?" Miranda rambles

"Miranda, take a breath." Conner tells her

"And don't you have something to say?" She asks him

He starts mumbling a apology to Katie while Miranda gets out a bottle of nectar

"So.... Did you say we are going on a quest?" I ask her

"Yeah... Do you want to hear the prophecy?"

"Yep, spill."

"It's really confusing.

Two of trees and two of thieves are to make a team

They must return to somewhere where they all have been

To escape that dreaded place you must first find the case

The missing flower must be found before the end of the race."

"What?"

"That's what Conner said."

"A race, missing flower, a case?"

"We only know what the first line means, two kids of Demeter, Me and Katie and two kids of Hermes you and Conner."

"So, where have we all be together?" Katie asks

"Camp?" Conner suggests

"No." Miranda replys "that's were the quest starts."

"Where else?" I ask. We all went quite thinking of an answer

"The Battle of Manhattan." Katie exclaims

I smile grimly "we are going to manhattan."
