Prologue:

What if, yung mga lolo niyo ay gumawa ng NAPAKA IMPOSIBLENG kontrata. I mean billions of money ang involve pag hindi mo sinunod ang kontrata na iyon.

Our grandfathers called it "Marriage Contract". Nakalagay dun sa kontrata na iyon na pag dating namin ng 18 ipapakasal kami isa't isa. Mas matanda siya sa akin ng isang taon, pero same ang birthday namin. Noong una wala ako'ng idea sa kontrata na iyon, kasi bata pa ako ano bang malay ko sa ganun di ba? Hanggang sa nag 17 na ako.

"Happy birthday to you, my dear Jaimee." Bati sa akin ni Lolo Juanito. I'm his favourite granddaughter.

"Thank you, Lolo. I really love your gift." He gave me a cute pink cocktail dress.

"And now that you are 17, I have another surprise for you." Meron pa? Oooh. I love surprises.

"Meron pa po? Ano po yun?"

"Remember Sebastian James Monreal?" Paano ko makakalimutan yun? Crush na crush ko kaya yun noong mga bata pa kami, kaya lang lumipat sila sa American. Doon na sila nag stay for good. Sayang naman.

"The only grandson of Lolo Filipe? How can I forget that cute boy Lolo? Of course I remember him." Napangiti si Lolo. Bakit kaya biglang napunta sa kanya ang usapan? Alam ko parehas kami ng birthday, pero mas matanda siya sa akin ng isang taon. Kaya siguro bigla siyang naalala ni Lolo.

"That's nice. I want you to meet your future husband." Ano daw? Sino daw? Future ano?

"Lo, pardon me. I think I heard it wrong. Sino po yung imimeet ko? Ano ko po siya?"

"Hija, you're going to meet your future husband."

"And he is?"

"Sebastian James Monreal."

"Lo, tell me. It's only a joke right? I'm only 17 and his not my boyfriend. How come it is possible for us to get married?"

"Arrange marriage, my." Tell me his not serious! Ang bata ko pa para mag pakasal! "Aren't you surprise?"

"Lo, mukha po ba ako'ng hindi na surprise? I'm very surprise Lolo. Paano po kami nagkaroon ng arranged marriage?" And he told me everything. It really surprised me. It happened when I was born, everything was already settled. Inilabas ni Lolo yung contract na pinirmahan nila. "Lo, alam po ba ito nila mommy?"

"Of course! Wala na silang magagawa dyan. Basahin mo yung kontrata para may idea ka." Binasa ko, masunurin ako'ng apo eh. My jaw drop and my eyes widened while reading the contract. It says...

We, Juanito Cruz and Filipe Monreal, agreed that our grandson and granddaughter will get married when they reach the legal age of 18. My granddaughter Jaimee Cruz is now a member of the Monreal Family. Sebastian James Monreal is very welcome to our family.

Agreement:

Shall have date everyday, when they reach the age of 17, so they can get-to-know-each-other.Ø

Shall have a family gathering twice a week.Ø

The two will enter college at JCFM University. The course will be their choice.Ø

The marriage of the two will be announced at their school, so that Jaimee Cruz can use the Monreal as her surnameØ

IfØ someone is against the wedding of the two, (e.g boyfriend of Jaimee or girlfriend of SJ) he/she will be automatically kicked out of school.

IfØ one of the family member refuse to continue the marriage, he/she will need to pay us 1,000,000,000 (One Billion) pesos in cold cash.

AfterØ the marriage, divorce or annulment will not allow. The judge that will let them get neither the annulment nor the divorce will be fine of 1,000,000,000 (One Billion) pesos.

They will live at one house after the marriage. The house will be design by both of us.Ø

If they'll have a child at early age, we'll don't mind. The earlier the better. We're not getting any younger.Ø

THEØ ONE THAT WILL NOT FOLLOW THESE AGREEMENTS WILL BE FINE OF 100,000,000,000 (ONE HUNDRED BILLION) PESOS IN COLD CASH. BEING FAMILY IS NOT AN EXEMPTION!
