It was only the second time I had seen Mark in person, but I already knew everything about him, and everything that he did, and everyone that he talked to. I guess you could call it stalking, but I call it researching.
I also knew I liked him. A lot. I just found him so friendly and cute! His hair, his smile, his laugh. I loved every bit of him. I loved him so much I decided to finally come out to him.

And so I did...well I tried to. I had my speech all ready, I had the time and place, and I had made sure that it would all be perfect.

Except it wasn't.

I rested my hand upon his leg and leaned in close. I closed my eyes and whispered it in his ear. "Mark...i think I love you...for real." I squeezed his leg, feeling the muscle through his jeans.

Problem is, when you close your eyes you can't see the confused expression on a persons face, and you don't realise when to stop. Ok I'm not sure if this was lucky or unlucky for me, but when I pulled back he cracked up laughing. He didn't believe me. I was expecting him to either say he felt the same way, or that he wasn't sure yet, but he didn't. He just laughed. And I was surprised at how much his laughter hurt.
