I bolt awake, not realizing I had cried myself to sleep. I grab my phone to look at the time, 6:27. Shit, I think, I'm already late. I jump out of my bed and clean up the mess on the floor, searching for the razorblade.

"Fuckfuckfuck." I say to myself. Its not here, it's gone, out of my reach. I hope my mom didn't come in and find- Wait! I grab the sheets on my bed and shake them frantically. Clank! My heart rate slows as I pick up the razorblade and put it in a small bag before walking to my closet. I grab a few band shirts, my favourite sweater, and a few pairs of black skinny jeans.

She stirs wondering what I'm doing, why I've packed a bag. I'm just going for a walk, I tell her.

A walk with a bag full of clothes? She asks me.

Yes. I say in return as I head towards my dresser. I grab about two dozen Black Veil Brides, Bring Me The Horizon,  and Asking Alexandria bracelets and put them on my wrists to cover the marks, even though they're almost healed.

I take one last look at the room I've slept in for all my life. I look at the fresh and the old blood stains, faded from me trying to clean them up. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm going to miss this place. I remember the time my dad said I could paint my room any colour but instead of painting the room we painted each other. Then we decided to go get my mom and show her our masterpieces. We laughed about it together, as a family. Now that's gone, we've drifted apart, our family is no more.

I turn to the window. Being on the second floor I can't jump but living in a house surounded by trees comes in handy. Grabbing the nearest thick branch I swing myself up into a tree which just happens to be one of the biggest trees there. Let me do this. She tells me but I can't, not here. We are way to close to my house and if my mother sees me I'm dead.

I ignore her and start walking along the branches until I'm a few trees away. Alright I'll let you do this. I say to her. She must have been waiting because it happens quickly. I feel the bones grind and move, my skin grows fur and I drop to my knees. My ears begin to point and my eyes change to cat eyes, one ice blue and the other bright green and my midnight black fur makes them shine. I belong to her now, my life is in her paws.
