Untold Secrets

Chapter 6

I could hear voices. They were low, muffled. I tried to move closer to them but a pain in my back stopped me from doing so. I groaned. Where am I? What happened? I don't remember anything. I was walking through the woods then was on my knees. Everything after that is black. It isn't there. The voices were getting closer. Or was I dreaming?

"She's awake." A voice said.

Hands came around my arms, pulling me to my feet. I wanted to scream, fight but I couldn't. I'm too weak. I was roughly pushed into another room. the bright light hurting my blindfolded eyes. I must be in a house. But what house? And who was holding me? The person holding my arms let go. I fell to the ground. I was too weak to stand. I was too weak to do anything.

"Leave her here, it won't be long." Said the same voice.

What? What do they mean? Am I going to die? And where's Moria, my cougar? I start crawling away from the people as fast as I can. Pain shoots through my back but I ignore it. I have to get away. Hands grab me again. I kick my legs and squirm in their grasp. They can't keep me here, it's not fair. They've weakened me. They've taken Moria. What's going on? Are they afraid I'm stronger? The hands hold me tighter and I buck my knee. The hands let go of me when my knee connects with a body. The person falls to the ground and I hear them groan. Serves you right, I think. I start crawling away again.

"Where do you think you're going?" That voice. I know that voice. It's been so long I've almost forgotten it. But it couldn't be them. No. It's not. They're dead. I killed them. Or did I?
