Untold Secrets

Chapter 3

Finally I'm free. I've been waiting for a while now, two months I think. I've needed this, I had to get out. Stretching my legs, I start jumping from tree to tree, running from branch to branch. This isn't what I wanted but she did. I would've killed her mother but I never got out in time, so now we run. I know of a place we could go, a place where there's more of us, a place we can survive in. I'd have to ask her first but for now I just run along the trees enjoying the tiny piece of freedom I can get.

'Where are we going?'

'A place I know of. We can survive there you could be free of everything. Just think about it. Who knows maybe we'll even find that mate of ours.'

'No. I don't want to go there, please don't Take us there.'

'You set me free, I control where we go. Whether you like it or not.'

She stops talking now which means I have won. I decide where we go now. She's just along for the ride and the freedom that she has been waiting for ever since it happened. She wanted to leave, not me. She set me free thinking I wouldn't go back but I will. Right back to where it all started. Right back to the beginning.

She doesn't wanted to go because she's scared. Scared of the past, that it'll happen again. Whats happened has happened, it's in the past. She doesn't realize it's over, that it won't happen again. Why does she have to be so stupid?  We'd be safe there. We'd have others to take care of us. Heck we would even have our own family.

We're about 2 or so miles from the house now so it should be safe to walk on the ground. Jumping down from the tree I set out to find some water. It can't be far, I can hear it from here. It's faint, yes, but I can still hear it. I start walking through the bushes making sure I'm still hidden. Her mother could be out looking for us and I wouldn't even know. I'm not that good with scents and tracking yet, then again I hardly ever get the freedom to practice.

I spot a stream just a few feet away and walk towards it. Knealing down in front of it I lap up a bit then find a place to lay down. I look around for a bit and notice a big tall evergreen, crawling underneath it I decide I'll stay here for a few hours and rest. What could possibly go wrong?
