Your POV:
I have been living in LA now for just over a month, and I have been texting Ricky everyday, trying to organise a day we can meet up, but he is always so busy with his growing YouTube career.
Living in a small apartment in the middle of Hollywood is a dream come true, and already I have managed to get a job working in a studio where they record big TV shows. It's not fully acting or directing yet, but being a PA for the producers isn't a bad thing.
Today the sun is shining, and I am just laying here on the balcony that comes off of my bedroom looking at downtown LA in the distance. To keep cool I decided to wear my purple bikini top, and ripped acid wash shorts. It was time to get a tan.
As I started to drift off in to a full day dream, my phone startled me with the default ringtone on my phone, that just sounded like any old house phone. I hadn't really made any good friends yet in LA, so my phone rarely rang. If it did, it was my mum checking up on me, seeing if I was looking after myself.
I picked up my phone and looked down and saw Ricky's name light up my screen. I quickly answered the phone with a big grin on my face, hoping I could finally meet him in person, instead over Skype.
"Hey y/n" He beamed down the phone
"Hey Ricky, how are you?" I answered
"I'm actually free today, wanna grab some food and come back to my place"
"Sure, why not." I replied, feeling my heart begin to race
"Cool. Meet you at Taco Bell downtown, in fifteen. I'm bringing JC with me to help collect the food." Ricky added
"OK, see you then"
"Bye" Ricky said before hanging up the phone.
Today was the day I finally get to meet my long distance friend in person. It's taken two years, but it's finally happening.
I got up, let my hair down out of its messy bun, and chucked on a simple grey t-shirt and converse, and headed downtown in the car.
