"I have cleaned the injuries, just make sure that she doesn't pressures too much on her knees. I'm leaving some pain killer and an ointment too." Doctor Paul said and stood up to leave.

I shook his hand, "Thank you, Paul. I hope you didn't mind that we woke you up at this time."

He let out a throaty laugh, the slight wrinkles forming at the corner of his eyes, "No problem. That's my job and I love it very much," I nodded at Ace who took Paul with him.

Once they left, I stayed with her for a few minutes, brushing her hair away from her face. Caressing her cheek, taking in all her dainty features. She was so breathtakingly beautiful.

I was fūcked.

I sat back in the armchair and rubbed my temples in an effort to calm my migraine to no avail. I watched her sleep, protecting her in the only way I knew. Making sure she didn't have any hallucinations while sleeping.

My eyes never wavering all the time, I saw the soft rays of sun falling on her beautiful face that lit her pale skin even more, glowing and brightening up. If I was not wrong, then, she was a temptress.

My cøck twitched at the sight of her. Images of me grabbing her by her sinful hips and fūcking her on the bed until she was wide awake and gasping for air skated through my mind. I looked away before I did something I was going to regret.

I shook away the images, the effect she had on me, the cord I couldn’t fūcking cut for the life of me. I stood up before she opened her eyes and walked away.

Leaving her with nothing but the insatiable need for my lust.

And, a strange rhythm of my heart.

With a lot of struggle, I finally could open my eyes. Blinking slowly, I found an armchair just beside my bed and I heard the closing of the door, meaning somebody was here when I was sleeping.

When I tried to get up, a sharp twinge on my knees had me falling on the bed again. Before I could get up, everything that happened last night cloaked me to paralysis.

I remembered everything, every single thing. My past. Tears pricked my eyes at the thought of it. My heart was racing in fear at it's mention. Why after so many years? That man had followed again, I couldn't believe it. I thought I had finally got rid of it, but pathetic, I didn't.

But someone saved me, someone whom I didn't remember. The flash of blue, tantalising eyes crossed infront of me. And, then, the realisation hit me. The blue, tantalising eyed man was no one but him. Aaron. I didn't know I was smiling until I saw my reflection on the mirror.

I got off the bed and walked ahead until I was standing in front of one of the mirrors. My eyebrows furrowed as my smile died on. I touched my reflection on the mirror, looking at the girl who was nothing but a mess yesterday.

My palm pressed against the mirror as my thoughts went deep on him. He saw me like that. He had seen me like that. Now, he would pity me, he would show sympathy to me, like everybody did. I didn't want that. I didn't want him to show me any of that. I don't need that, after so many years of the pain I had gone through, I didn't need an another person to think how fake I was, how masked I was.

If only they knew what I have been through....

It took a lot of me to stand on my feet, dragging myself towards the bathroom. I brushed and cleaned myself, in the hot, hot water, the pain was so much on my knees but I didn't stop myself. When I came back, I saw a new pair of white pants and a black sweater lying on the edge of the bed.
