A/n: EVERYTIME I THINK OF THIS PROMPT I LOSE MY SHIT LIKE IT'S SO FUNNY

-----

The high school halls are silent, except for the gentle taps of Gabriel Novak's cane, and the squeaky footsteps of Sam Winchester's boots against the floor. They walk outside, and Sam begins staring around at the pristine, glittering blanket of snow covering every inch of grass. In his daydreaming, he almost lets Gabriel walk into a bush.

"Sorry!" Sam rushes to him. He watches as Gabriel freezes, taps the bush calmly, and then begins whacking the life out of the bush, trying to figure out what it is. The snow shakes off in every direction.

"Were you gazing again?" Gabriel asks, dark sunglasses over his defective eyes. He continues to slam the cane into the bush aggressively. Sam nods, and then cringes as he remembers Gabriel can't exactly see that. He sighs, putting a gentle hand on Gabriel's shoulder, directing him to the door.

"Yeah, I was staring at the snow." Sam mumbles out, still trying to adjust to his friend's disability.

Gabriel lost his eyesight completely in an accident three years ago. According to the doctor, his eyesight was supposed to naturally heal about two and a half years ago. Despite three years being a long time, neither of them are used to it.

Gabriel certainly copes. Granted, he can't see the angry face Dean always makes whenever Gabriel so much as opens his mouth to talk, and he can't see Sam's heavenly ass either. But, he's created some fun tricks he would've never figured out if he wasn't blind. He was a fucking genius.

Speaking of tricks, Gabriel can hear the voices of what sounds like... A few of the people on the football team. He moves ahead of Sam, listening quietly. He can pick out Benny, Alistair, and Dean specifically. He gently taps the perimeter of a shoe, so as to not disturb them. Based on the size, it's Dean.

Perfect.

Gabriel braces himself, swinging the cane behind him and bringing it down full force onto the back of Dean's knee. Dean falters, and Benny has to grab his forearm roughly to keep him from falling onto the cold floor.

"Goddamnit, what the hell?" Dean whips his head around, staring with green fire at Gabriel, who was still smacking Dean with his cane.

"Who is that? Dean?" Gabriel feigns complete ignorance, still cracking Dean in the knees rapidly.

"Gabe fucking stop it!" Dean cries out. Alistair slaps the cane out of Gabriel's hand. It skitters across the floor, smacking the adjacent wall. Sam scurries over quickly to get it, leaving Gabriel alone.

"Dean? Is that you?" Gabriel sticks his arms out, flailing wildly. He smacks Benny, before he starts to wipe his hands over Dean's face dramatically.

"Its Dean, now stop it!" He gruffs out, grabbing Gabriel's wrists roughly and pinning them to his sides. Sam rushes over, putting a light hand on the shorter boy's shoulder. He slides the cane into Gabriel's hand, and Dean lets go of his wrists.

"Guys, I'm really sorry!" Sam says, grabbing Gabriel's wrist gently to prevent him from just blindly walking away. The three boys look up at Sam, unimpressed by his apology. "He's still adjusting to his disability!"

"He does it again, I'm leading him off a cliff!" Dean yells out. Gabriel frowns.

"Brother, let him be." Benny buts in, hauling Dean fully to his feet. "He can't see what he's doing."

"Our blind mouse definitely knows what he's doing, considering he's done it before." Alistair speaks up, from the left of Dean. Dean nods in agreement.

"You heard Sam, he's still coping." Alistair opens his mouth to retort, but Benny puts a hand up, silencing him. "Look y'all, just let him off the hook." Benny claps Dean and Alistair on the back, turning to leave into the locker room. Dean and Alistair slowly turn to follow, glaring at Gabriel, before the door slams shut.

"Are they gone?" Gabriel asks, beginning to move down the hall again. Sam catches up with him, the rapid tapping making him even more frustrated.

"Yea, they're gone." Sam sighs, running a nervous hand through his hair. "Gabe, what the hell was that?"

Gabriel looks where he assumes is Sam's face. His face splits into a crooked grin as he unknowingly begins talking to the wall. "It was fucking funny, that's what it was."

Sam just silently directs him through the classroom door.
