I was sitting in the dusty, creaky, old compartment watching the scenery fly by in a blur. Although I looked bored out of my mind I was a little excited to go to Hogwarts. After all, this will be my first time learning magic from real professors, rather than the books back at home. My thoughts were rudely interrupted by a group of boys being as loud and crazy as a group of monkeys.
"Yeah she obviously has eyes for me, just like every other girl at Hogwarts," said this handsome, tall, pale boy with shaggy shoulder length black hair.
"Are you going to snog her Padfoot?" asked another tall boy with short brown hair and cuts roaming his face. The group of obnoxious boys had finally noticed me sitting by the foggy window. "Oh, hello gorgeous, I'm Sirius Black and these are my mates James Potter, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew. Although, the school knows us as the Marauders," said the black haired boy from before. I just stared at the idiot not saying a word.
"Hello, are you new I haven't seen you around school before?" asked the boy named Remus who had the mysterious cuts on his face.
"Hi," I replied quietly to the only normal looking one.
"So, are you new?"
"Yes."
"Cool, what school did you come from?"
"No where."
"Oh...do you know where you'll be sorted?"
"No."
"Ok...well we're all in Gryffindor the best house there is," Remus said with a slight chuckle,
"Good for you."
"Since you haven't been to a wizarding school how do you know about the houses?"
"Books."
"Right...how stupid of me not to have realized."
"Yes, how very stupid of you Moony, seeing as you're the smartest out of us four," said Sirius.
"Moony?" I questioned.
"Yes, it's a nickname," Remus answered.
"Interesting."
"We all have nicknames, mine is Moony, Sirius is Padfoot, James is Prongs, and Peter is Wormtail."
"Weird."
"I like your accent new girl...what is it?" asked James who was a tall boy with short cut dark brown hair and glasses.
"Irish you idiot," I answered harshly.
"Well excuse me." After James said that I turned away from the group of four and continued looking at the now dark scenery passing by. A few hours had now passed and I noticed that the group of idiots I was seated with were changing into their robes, which could only mean that we were close to Hogwarts. So, I decided to go to the bathroom to change into mine. As I walked out of the cramped compartment I realized I didn't know exactly where the bathroom was. I overheard a few girls giggling rather loudly as they were exiting a door. So, I decided that it was safe to assume that they were exiting the bathroom. I made my way to the door whilst bumping into some of the chatty girls that came out. Once I entered the rather clean bathroom I quickly changed into my plain black robes and left the bathroom. On my way back to the compartment containing the four boys I quite literally ran into a red headed beauty.
"Oh dear I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention," the girl said.
"It's alright," I said lowly.
"I'm Lily Evans fifth year and who might you be?"
"Elena." I answered dryly.
"Just Elena?"
"Just Elena," I repeated.
"Well I'm assuming that you're new and haven't had the time to meet anyone decent yet correct?"
"Yes," I said with a disgusted face remembering my time spent with those 'Marauders'. Almost instantly after I said that the train jerked to a stop with a loud screech.
"Since you're new you'll have to travel to the school by boat with the first years," Lily informed me. More traveling...what a drag.
"I'll be watching you at the sorting El," Lily said as she walked off the train with the other students.
