Tonight was the full moon, meaning I was feeling a little under the weather. My transformation from my human body to my wolf body was still hard for me. Just imagine breaking all of your precious bones and getting them transfigured into those of a canine. Dumbledore had graciously excused me from today's classes, but I was told that I won't be excused again in the future, just so people don't get 'suspicious'. Although, I had to admit it was pretty boring being cooped up in my bedroom all day like a chicken. With that thought I got dressed in my lounge clothes, a oversized grey sweater and black leggings, rather than my robes, grabbed my excuse pass and wand off my dresser and strolled down the creaky staircase to the Common Room. The Common Room was obviously emptied out due to all the students being in class, so I chose to practise a few spells to pass the time. I had been flicking my red wood wand around conjuring spells for at least thirty minutes before I got bored and decided to roam the halls of the school. I walked out of the dark Common Room and silently closed the door behind me. As I was walking down the silent empty corridors I passed many ancient portraits of great wizards and previous students. I walked up the marble staircase and stopped on the main floor that had an opening to the outside. I watched the snow fall onto the ground, creating a sparkly fluffy blanket of white upon the now dead grass. It was a very peaceful moment, but it was also absolutely silent. There were no birds singing their annoying songs or owls hooting ready to take flight into the afternoon sky. It was complete silence. Obviously the peace didn't last long; the annoyingly loud bell decided to ring, dismissing the students to lunch. Since I was pretty much in front of the Great Hall I decided to walk in, not caring about my lousy attire. Although, I decided to quickly go to the bathroom to make sure my face was at least presentable due to my current weariness, thanks to the stupid full moon tonight. I walked into the girl's bathroom and looked at myself in the rose engraved round ivory mirror. A gasp escaped my mouth as I realized how dead I truly looked at that moment; my under eyes were as dark as charcoal and my face was as pale as a ghosts, much like the ghosts that roam this ancient school. The mirror seemed to scream at me for my horrid appearance, which only caused me to snarl at my reflection. I overheard the ruckus from outside the bathroom meaning that students had already started to pile into the Great Hall. There was absolutely no way I was gonna let anyone see me in this state, but I was quite hungry. My mind was made and I decided to go out and prepare myself for the questions that would be asked about my sudden sickness, but no matter what no one can found out the truth. I walked out of the tiny bathroom and made a beeline for the Slytherin table and quickly sat down in my spot and threw my face in my hands.
"Hey there El...where have you been all day?" asked Severus concerningly.
"Sick," I answered groggily.
"Yeah poor Elena has been cooped up in our dorm all afternoon because she woke up feeling terrible," said the small blonde Narcissa whilst laying a hand upon my slouched shoulder.
"What a coincidence that you just so happen to get sick the same time our dear Remus did Elly," said Sirius. He was the last person I wanted to talk to right now, but I had to get use to his idiotic presence since I did agree on becoming his and his mates 'friend'.
