Alex PV:
School started the next day, and I was in math class, while John was in art, when none other than Thomas Jefferson stroke (a/n: stroke lmao what a nice word) up a conversation with me. I knew what he wanted as soon as he started talking to me. He wanted to ruin my life because he finally had the chance after I had cheated on John with Maria.
"Hey, Hamilton, you ever gonna tell your boyfriend about last night?"
I turned around and said, "shut it Thomas, it was one time."
"Well I could just text him, you know tell him what you've done. I think he'd like to know the truth."
"Oh my god you wouldn't! Imagine if I got Madison to break up with you."
He looked up and glared at me and then immediately went back to his phone. Was he really going to text John? I saw him click one last button and then look at me with a disgusting smile. I turned back around to face the teacher, and then a few minutes later I got a message from John.
Messages:
GayTurtle: alex we need to talk during lunch.
Hamilwhore: about what, honey
GayTurtle: don't call me that right now. We just need to sort something out.
Hamilwhore: John, what is it?
And then, through the window of the door I saw him passing down the halls towards the restroom. Fuck! I really hurt him!

John PV:
During art class, we were painting some pottery. I was painting  a rainbow turtle with a lion. I wanted to give it to Alex, but then I got a heartbreaking text from Thomas.
Messages:
Jeffersin: your boyfriend cheated on you last night
GayTurtle: what are you talking about? Alex wouldn't do that
Jeffersin: well obviously you don't know him because I saw him leave Maria Reynolds' room last night and then she told us everything
GayTurtle: yea okay...
After getting those messages I texted Alex saying we had to talk next period during lunch. He seemed confused so maybe Jefferson was just lying. I was still so heartbroken though; my eyes filled with tears and I basically sprinted to bathroom to wash up.

Time Skip To Lunch (bc lazy)

Alex PV:
I ran to the bathroom once the teacher dismissed us but John wasn't there anymore. I sat on the counter and automatically texted him. I needed to see him.
Messages:
Hamilwhore: John where are you. I saw you run to the bathroom. What's wrong, dearest?
GayTurtle: meet me outside the cafeteria.
I started running to the cafeteria and once I saw him I broke a little on the inside. His eyes were red. There were dried tears on his face. I could tell he was hurt and crying, so I went up to him and attempted to hug and comfort him. But he dodged it and pushed me away. Not hard enough to hurt me physically but emotionally I was completely broken and it was all my fault.
"Alexander, what happened last night?"
"I'm so sorry, John..."
"So it wasn't a lie. God damnit! I was hoping to God that Jefferson was just being a dick again!"
"John please... Hear me out..."
"No Alexander! You cheated on me! I thought you cared but apparently I'm just fucking stupid!" His eyes filled with tears as he yelled at me.
"I'm sorry, John! You're right. You deserve better than me!" I poured out tears and stormed off, "but just so you know, I'll always care about you, John..."
I didn't go to the rest of my classes. I don't know if John went to his. I was in our room all day and he never came in. I fucked up bad. I just thought about what I had lost. Before everything happened we would talk about what we would do once we got out of school. Hike the Appalachian trail, write a book, or learn to sail. We would talk and take in the view. (A/n: If you get the reference I'll love you) I'll forever miss that. I'll forever miss him. Hercules told me he was sleeping in his dorm room that night. And that one night turned into two weeks of us just not talking or sleeping in the same bed or even room. I lost him. I lost my love. But then, he came back to our room again. I gained hope. But all we said was "hello", "good night" and I personally said "I'm sorry" which never got a response.
