Adele's POV

Laura was still sleeping in the guest room when I had woken several hours later, so I decided to take a shower.

I thought about everything that has happened. About why he might of left me, if things might have been different if I had been the one to cut things off.

I now knew that he had a girlfriend after only 5 weeks, but I don't feel bad. I'm actually happy for him. I think.

But I just don't get it. How can he have moved on so quickly.

"Laura get the hell up! You've been sleep for like three day now." I yelled while jumping on the bed.

" No way. It's been that long?" She had saliva stains all over her mouth and her hair looked like a a family of birds were inhabiting it. Surprisingly though, the room smelled like someone just finished making a batch of cookies.

"No its only been a day, but I haven't had anyone to talk to in ages so get up so we can do something!"

"Ok, ok but I need to take a shower- and eat." She stated after hearing her stomach growl, both of us sharing a laugh.

I looked over at the clock, which read 12:35.

"You have tell 1:30 and then we're leaving, we can go to that new pub by the mall."

"Ok."

After ordering our food Laura began staring at me, making it completely obvious, looking like she was in deep thought.

"Lau I don't remember stealing your childhood bike, so can you please tell me why your staring at me?"

"You've been cooped up in your house for ages so why now. Why now that I told you that he has another woman you decide to get out?" She seemed like she actually cared.

"Well, I realized that I was holding on to something that wouldn't hold me. Telling you everything made me realize the situation was neither of our faults, it was destined to happen. I had to move on."

There were no tears. No pain. My knees weren't shaking and I wasn't sweating.

I felt free. Like my old self.
