"What shall that be?"

"Whenever we decide to have that dinner where I announce my pregnancy, you better act surprised because me and Dan promised not to tell anyone!"

She held out both her pinky fingers and waited for me to give her mine.

"And one more thing babe."

"What Lau?"

"Make sure you text that man back, he's husband material!" She sent a wink my way as we finally walked through my house doors.

Two days had passed and I still hadn't texted Simon back because I was so nervous.

I hadn't been in a relationship in so long I forgot what it felt like.

I forgot how to ask someone on a date, or kiss someone for the first time.

For goodness sakes, I hadn't had sex with someone I truly loved in what felt like ages.

I was tired of feeling empty, lonely, and forgotten about.

I was just tired of being tired.

I picked up my phone and added his number to my contacts, and finally got the courage to text him back.

Adele~ HI Simon!! This is Adele, the girl you met in the pub.

I sat for a couple minutes looking at my phone screen till I decided I was going a little crazy. I set it down on my nightstand, and shortly after I set it down I heard my ring tone go off.

Simon~Hello Adele, nice to speak to you again. I was wondering if you'd allow me to take you on a date to this restaurant I love¿

A date.

Already.

This is moving a lot quicker than I thought, but if this man is anything like me, he's eating himself up inside thinking that he's done something wrong. I would be a complete monster If I didn't except his invite to dinner.

Adele~That would be absolutely lovely.

Simon~Great I'll see you Saturday, pick you up at 7:00pm.

Adele~Ok see you then
