Adele's POV

"Laura I need you to come over, and bring every pair of spanx you own. Ok?"

"Ok. I'll be there in 10 minutes."

------

Within minutes Laura was ramming through my front doors, with bags falling off of every limb on her body.

"What's the emergency babe?"

"Well, I have a date, and I need your he-"

"Of course I'll help you."

She ran up the stairs and into my bedroom.

------------

"Lau I just don't understand how I can preform in front of millions of people, but I can't go on a date!"

"Donut, calm down it'll all go great I promise, and if it doesn't, you have my number. But I swear to God, if you cry off all that makeup I'll kill you, with nothing but a fork and my bare hands!"

Well doesn't she know how to calm down someone's nerves.

----------
I wore my black lace dress with my favorite red heels.

I felt confident, but I just wanted the date to be over. A good kinda over. A 'I know we'll have a second date' kinds over.

Ding dong

The doorbell.

He's here.

Laura let him in while I grabbed my purse, and slid my shoes on.
------

As I walked down the stairs, simon gave me the look. The one we're they
look you up and down, and look you in your eyes to tell you you look amazing.

I took his hand and he laid me to the car.

"Don't get pregnant tonight, he's material but don't take it that far this early!" I heard Laura scream as we were half way down the driveway.

Once we got into the car, he instantly put his hand on my thigh. I felt uncomfortable at first, but then I suddenly felt comfortable.

"Sorry I haven't done that in so long, I'm sorry I'll move it if you want?"

"No,no leave it there. I like it."

I put my hand over his and held it like I'd known him since high school.

"So where are we going?"

"It's a surprise!"

"Uhhh that's not gonna work. I hate surprises. What's the fun in stressing over what something is?"

"Well Adele, when you put it that way." He and I shared a laugh, and while we did he looked at me.

I got worried, like I'd done something wrong.

"Your laugh." Well, there goes that. He hates my laugh. I know this wouldn't go well.

"It's gorgeous. It's the most unexpected laugh that you'd hear from a woman as beautiful as you. It's perfect."

I was about to cry. I turned my head to face the window, and he used his finger to turn my head back at him.

"Don't cry."

"This is gonna sound cheesy but no one has ever said something like that to me. Ever."
