Her entire life Luna Clearwater has felt like she wasn't good enough. No one ever said anything but the brunette girl had always just felt that underlying pressure to do better. That led to different social issues and disorders that make Luna a very closed of person. The fact that her best friend moved away during her childhood didn't help either. Isabella Swan and Luna Clearwater were like two peas in a pod despite the fact that the latter was two years younger.

Of course Luna had then become the best of friends with Jacob Black, Embry Call, and Quil Atera. The three boys adored the younger girl and would do anything to protect her from all harm.

It was surprising to everyone when Luna Clearwater became friends with Paul Lahote, the reservations notorious bad boy but what was the most surprising was he fact that he was completely smitten with the shy girl and she was blissfully unaware.

Luna's family seemed to be utterly normal. She had loving parents, a kind yet annoying younger brother, and a distant but still protective older sister. Of course her mother always had a desire for Luna to fall in love with the perfect boy, though the thought of "the perfect boy" never seemed to fit well with her.

When the Cullen family moved to the neighboring town of Forks and immediately caused a ruckus on the reservation everyone was surprised again when the Clearwater became friends with the Cullen's, though she unlike her siblings listened to the legends and had the suspicion she knew what they were, but was also aware they wouldn't hurt her.

Just as life seems to be figuring itself out for the awkward brunette the tornado known as Bella Swan hits Luna and everything seems to get stranger from there.
