The New Room

"Where are we?" I ask seeing boxes and a mirror that we stepped out of.
"I don't know," says Liz.
"Are we wearing uniforms?" I ask looking at my clothes.
"I guess so and it looks like we're in a room or building in a bigger building that looks like school," she replies.
"Well it looks like somebody has been here based on the boxes," I say. I hear the door knob wiggle and a boy walks in.
"See you in our classes, Yosei," Liz says exiting with a wink.
"Oh you must be my roommate," he says swishing his ruffly blonde hair out of his eye.
  "Yeah," I say.
  "So that girl you were with, who is she?" he asks.
  "She's my childhood friend," I say.
  "I'm Hunter," he says smiling kindly.
  "I'm Yosei," I say.
  "Need help unpacking?" asks Hunter.
  "I got it," I say. I take my stuff out of the boxes and set it up.
  "Wow that stuff looks expensive," says Hunter.
  "You could say that," I reply blushing. Wait..did I just blush? I barely even know him. Father would be disappointed in this. I breath in and out to calm my feelings down.
   "You ok?" Hunter asks concerned.
   "You don't even know half of how I feel right now," I say.
   "Don't worry it's my first time with a girl roommate too," he says reassuringly. After we're done unpacking I glance at Hunter humming to himself. I smile at the tone of familiar music. I sing along to the tune.
  "You were the shadow to my light did you feel us? Another start you fade away," I sing. Hunter smiles and turns on the instrumental.
   "Afraid our aim is out of sight we're breathing alive, where are you now, was it all in a fantasy? Where are you now, was it only imaginary?" He sings.
   " Where are you now? Atlantis, under the sea, under the sea. Where are you now, another dream? The monsters running wild inside of me, I'm faded," I sing while dancing.
    "I'm faded, so lost, I'm faded, I'm faded, so lost I'm faded," he sings taking my hand and spinning me around then dipping me on the final cord. I blush and we giggle simultaneously.
    "That was fun," I say as he lifts me up facing him.
    "Yeah," he replies twirling me out and into his embrace. I blush even more at this move. He lets me go and smiles.
    "Let's go to class," I say giggling.
    "As long as we go together," he says grabbing my hand and dragging me outside our room and into the school building. I see Liz waving and smiling as we pass by her to class.
    "Tell me about Prince Charming later," she mouths. I smile at the thought.
     "We're here," he says, welcome to Auraria College." I gasp in awe. The building looks as big as my castle. I look at all the students and teachers.
     "Wow," I say.
     "C'mon!" says Hunter squeezing my hand as he drags me along.
      "Is this our class?" I ask as we enter a room of students in rows of seats.
     "Yeah this is sorcery class, where we learn magic," I smile at the sound of magic. I see all the other students have wands like the fairy wizards in my castle.
    "I'm good at magic," I say reaching behind his ear and summoning a coin from my land and showing it to him.
   "Wow," he says sitting down and letting go of my hand. I frown a little, but smile at my purple wand, purple is my favorite color.
   "So, do you ever take your hair down," he asks staring at my comb.
   "I do, but very rarely," I say.
   "What about the comb, do you keep it in?" he asks.
    "Yeah, it's my family's comb," I say
    "Would you take your hair down, for me?" he asks.
     "Why?" I ask.
     "I want to see what you look like with it down," he replies. I sigh and reach up to my bun holder. I take it out and wave my hair around to get it straightened. I straighten my family comb and see Hunter blushing. I blush.
   "I look dumb, don't I," I say.
   "No," he says smiling and blushing. I blush harder and smile too.
   "Class I am your teacher for sorcery, Ms. Fitz," says a older woman walking into the room. Everybody takes out there wands and I stare at mine unsure of what to do.
   "Pick it up silly," Hunter says. I pick up the purple wand and see Hunter's green one.
   "Onsomia Replosis!" recites Ms. Fitz. A pink roses appear on the chalk board.
   "Onsomia Replosis!" Hunter recites. A pink rose appears in my hair. I smile.
   "This for me?" I ask.
   "Yeah, do you need help?" he asks.
   "No," I say. I wave my hands and freeze time. I don't know how to use wands. I see Liz followed my lead and froze time too. I stare at Hunter who's frozen and Liz poofs over to me.
   "So Prince Charming here is who?" she asks nudging me.
    "Hunter, he's my roommate," I reply blushing. She smiles and poofs back to her seat.
    "Rosiatia Pontormo!" she recites. The pink roses appear all on her desk. I smile and stare at Hunter.
   He looks so fragile like this as if he's been sleeping a thousand years. I never thought that I would meet a human, especially one like him. He's so kind to me. I wish I could be his and he could be mine, but that can't happen. This is a mission and I have to complete it, I can't fall in love too. I'm a princess, I take orders from the high council and my parents too. If I fall in love with a human my family, my people, and my kingdom would never forgive me, but one friend wouldn't hurt.
   "Hurry up Yosei," says Liz interrupting my thoughts.
   "Ok," I say. I recite the spell and the roses appear on both Hunter's and my desk. I smile.
   "Unfrozon Tariquom!" I recite unfreezing time.
   "Wow you do got it," Hunter says gasping at the roses. I smile and turn back to my thoughts.
  How could I help falling in love with him? He is such a kind heart. If I didn't tell anybody then they probably wouldn't find out, but they might. I sigh.
   "You ok?" Hunter asks.
   "Where could we be alone?" I ask.
   "Our room, why?" he asks.
    "Meet me there at lunch," I say.
    "Alright," he says. We exit the class and I go to the room while he gets his lunch. I close the door and peer out one quick time. I poof my lunch on the bed and rush into the bathroom.
   "Raternu Furmano!" I recite. My white princess dress returns, my silver crown does too, but my wings don't. I smile as I straighten my hair. I hear a knock on the door. I close the curtains and open the door.
   "Wow, what's that for?" Hunter asks.
   "For being so nice," I say. I wave my hand and pull a chair for him up. I take his school lunch and turn it into a gorgeous platter. He gasps.
   "How did you-" he starts. I shush him.
   "Don't worry about it," I say. He smiles. I wave my hands again and poof his lunch and mine into the fridge. I turn on ballad music.
  He stands up and reaches out his hand. "May I have this dance?" Hunter asks.
   "Yes," I say. We both blush equally as much.
    "You don't have to tell me how you did all of this because I trust you," Hunter says. I smile and lean my head on his. The bell rings and we separate. I poof my uniform back on and he smiles. I watch him open the curtains and turn off the music. We walk out of the room together holding hands like before. I blush and turn to my thoughts once again.
    He trusts me, I trust him.  I like him, but I shouldn't. What would my land think of me? They would think bad of me. I need to report to him about the events of today, except for this. He can't know Hunter exists. He can't know I like Hunter. He can't know that I could be falling in love with him. Liz won't tell him or anybody, that I know for sure. I just hope it goes well for the rest of the day.
