It had been a couple days since Daveed spoke to you when he slipped his business card under your glass. The advice he gave you last time was useful and with everything that's happened since then, you're desperate to find someone to talk to.

You shift your eyes between the card and the sign various times to make sure you were at the right place. Diggs Studios. You walk in and you're immediately captured by the amazing scenery.

"Hi. I'm looking for Daveed?"

"Who are you?", the woman questioned disgustingly.

"Oh, I'm Y/N."

"Do you have an appointment?"

"No, I didn't-"

"Then get out."

"I just wanted-"

"I said have a nice day."

"Actually, you didn't," you smirk.

"Get out before I call security," the woman answered standing from her seat.

"Ok, fine. I'm leaving," you answered, rolling your eyes.

You turn around and head toward the door with you face in your phone. Suddenly, you clash into someone. It was Daveed.

"Thank you so much for that." Apparently he was holding two drinks and you spilled them all of the front of him.

"I'm not even sorry. Karma's a bitch, isn't it?", you say laughing hysterically.

"I didn't think you would stop by."

"Yea, but I was just leaving."

"Why?"

"Your secretary said I needed an appointment and said if I don't leave, she'll call security."

"That's bullshit," he laughed.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't schedule people with appointments nor do I have security. Lele?"

"Yes, gorgeous?"

"Why did you lie to Y/N?"

"Because if I let her in, she would steal you away from me," she whined.

"This shit is getting sticky. We should go."

Once you and Daveed got to his office, Daveed took his shirt to switch into a fresh one. You tried to look away, but you couldn't.

"So, what's up?"

"Evan kissed me. That's never happened. We've never even been together."

"There's your problem."

"What?"

"Last time you said he was trying to protect you from other guys, right?"

"Yea."

"And he kissed you so he probably likes you."

"No shit, Sherlock."

"I'm saying. Why not give it a try. What if dating him isn't so bad?"

"I've never thought of that," you chuckle.

"I'm thirsty. You got any water?"

"Do you not have water in this building? Why don't you have one of your servants do it for you?", you teased.

"If I don't have security, what makes you think I can afford servants?"

"That's true. The water is in my bag."

"Thanks," Daveed answers, looking in your bag. After drinking the water he gpes to put it back and sees something that interests him. "What is this?"

"Oh, that's my demo," you answer, raising your feet and hugging your legs in the chair.

"Does it have any racks?"

"I got a deal from SanRecords a couple weeks ago."

"No shit?"

"Yea. I don't know if I'm gonna take it though."

Daveed rolls in his chair to the CD player.

"No, we don't have to listen to it. It's probably trash."

"Come on. If you got a deal off it, it must be worth something." He hits play.

Would you be embarrassed
Think I'm being careless
If I said you're all I want and more
Finger tips and collarbones
If I caught you on your own
Would you mind my hand stitched into yours

I got it bad, bad, oh
I see you in my sleep
And I want you mad, madly
Come running after me
You're in my bones bones
Oh I gotta let you go
But I don't know how when
You're rooted in my soul
I gotta tell you

I had a dream last night
You came back to me after our goodbye
My arms you fell into
And you asked if I'd run away with you
I ain't felt that way before
Like I couldn't wait just a minute more
And I don't wanna let you go, but
Dreams slip away I know

You saw me clear as glass
I thought you bold as brass
Never knew how lovely love could be
Forty hours give or take
You call me when you are awake
And from our phones we'll crumble time and space

I need you here here oh
I see you in my sleep
And I want you dear dearly
Come running after me
You're in my bones bones oh
I gotta let you go
But I don't know how
When you're rooted in my soul
I gotta tell you

I had a dream last night
You came back to me after our goodbye
My arms you fell into
And you asked if I'd run away with you
I ain't felt that way before
Like I couldn't wait just a minute more
And I don't wanna let you go, but
Dreams slip away I know

I don't know if you still think of me (come on come on over)
How you used to love me lovingly (come on come on over)
I know when we left we left a mess (come on come on over)
But if you ask, I promise I'll say... (come on come on)

I had a dream last night
You came back to me after our goodbye
My arms you fell into
And you asked if I'd run away with you
I ain't felt that way before
Like I couldn't wait just a minute more
And I don't wanna let you go, but
Dreams slip away I know

"Sucks, doesn't it?", you say not making eye contact.

"That was amazing. I think I'm in love," he responds.

You both laugh.

A/N: Sorry it's been a long time. I've been out of it for a while. More soon🌹
