"Where are we going?", you asked.

"You have to wait. Play another song."

"I've played enough songs," you complained.

"You need to be patient. The best things come to those who wait," Daveed quoted.

"Shut up," you laughed. "Fine, I'll play another song."

Everything was silent except for the sound of typing until...

"That's why I need a one dance. Got the Hennessy in my hand. One more time before I go. Higher powers taking a hold on me," you both sang out.

"I love this song," you shout over the music.

"Me too," he smiles back.

After awhile passes you make it to your destination. An amusement park.

"So?"

"I love amusement parks. How did you know?"

"Lucky guess," he quirks.

"Let's go!" You pull his hand to get in the ticket line before Daveed has time to blink.

Hours and more hours of eating and waiting in line and more eating and waiting in line, the two of you finally take a break.

"Hello! Aren't you two just the cutest couple," a man calls from behind a booth.

"Thank you," you both say, approaching the booth.

"Do you have time for a game?"

"Sure," Daveed says. "What do we have to do?"

"I'm going to provide you these balls and the first to knock down those three bottles is the winner," the man explains.

"Sounds easy enough," you claim.

You and Daveed both attempt to knock over the bottles but no one wins before you run out of balls. So, you try again.

Ding. Ding. Ding.

"Hell yea!" You won the game and chose the giant stuffed minion.

"Whatever. I don't get out much, anyways," Daveed argued.

"You said it, not me," you laughed.

It's almost 10pm and both of you share a funnel cake. Daveed loved funnel cake.

"So, tell me about you," you say, catching Daveed off guard.

"What do you mean?" he responds.

"I mean, you know so much about me and I don't know a lot about you unfortunately," you reasoned.

"Um, this one time, I had a dog-"

"No," you said, playfully slapping his arm. "Something that makes you you. Do you know what I mean?"

"Yea. Well, when I was a kid, my dad was killed by a police officer who, later, in court claimed he was armed, but he wasn't. I was in the car when I heard the gunshot and I knew he was dead. I just knew it. Turns out my dad was buying a wedding ring to give to my mom the next day and she never knew. A couple years later, she dies in a car accident. Drunk driver. We know how that story goes. So, I write and I perform to honor my parents because they deserve justice."

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked. I didn't know that-"

"It's okay, I promise."

You curl up in Daveed's arms as he kisses the top of your head. There was silence.

Later.

When you made it back home, Daveed walked you to your door.

"I had such a fun time. Thank you for this," you said.

"I really like you, Y/N," he said, taking your hands in his.

"I really like you, too," you smiled.

Daveed cupped your face and kissed you. "I don't want you to leave," you whined.

"I don't want to leave," Daveed replied continuously peppering kisses on your lips.

You both fell inside and Daveed kicked the door behind you.
