Awakening: Soo Yun

I woke up to a noise, but it was still dark outside, could it have been just a cat? Or maybe a tree fell.. but after some time I heard the same noise again, I looked where the noise came from and saw Ban Ryu, on the window waiting for me to open so I went and opened as fast as I could, he entered and sat on the bed, so I went and sat besides him
"What's going on?" I asked, he had been ignoring me and he then appeared in my house out of the blue, he hugged me and started crying, everything was so weird but I liked the feeling of him, laying on me
"I'm so sorry.. I'm a coward and a bad person.." I couldn't believe what I was hearing, I hugged him really tight and whispered, I don't know why I whispered, maybe because it was dark and the walls were thin, anyone could hear us
"You're not that, you're amazing, you had the courage to come-" While i was talking he started getting close to me and all of a sudden our lips were touching each other's, I was shocked, from day to night his attitude had changed, but it was a nice change, so I gave him the kiss back and continued like that for a long time until he broke the kiss, we were both red and were running out of breath, we heard some steps coming to my room, Ban Ryu acted fastly and got up and went to the window, before leaving he blew a kiss and disappeared, I was staring at the window until the door opened revealing my brother with another woman, a woman I had never seen before, they were holding hands
"You're back.. and who is she? She isn't one of my friends so why are you with her?"
"Haha, stop talking nonsense Soo Yun.. her name is Yanji" I felt like I heard that name before.. but I don't remember when
"Oh.. hello.." I waved and she waved back
"Is she your girlfriend? Or are you just playing with her?" It was really common from him, although this time it didn't look like any of the relationships he had before, I could feel that she was different
"Soo Yun.. stop being like that, Yanji and I are getting married" hearing that word.. married.. that meant that my brother was going to devote his whole life to a woman and stay with her and love her, not going on dates with any other girl besides her
"What?! Married?! But this is the first time you're with her, I bet you just met her and you're getting married?!"
"Soo Yun, I've known Yanji for.. how long has it been..?"
"12 years" 12 years..
"12 years, we have known each other for 12 years"
"How long have you been dating?"
"Well.. she left the capital 7 years ago and we promised that next time we saw each other we would get married"
"So romantic.. but you have been dating other girls in the mean time" I just said things I shouldn't have said, but if she didn't take it calmly, then she wasn't meant for him
"Soo Yun, the reason why I have been dating all your friends was because I thought that one of them might be her" the girl grabbed my brother's hand and kissed it, then they started kissing, I looked at the window, remembering what had happened and got lost on my thoughts, when I looked back at the door they were gone, I just laid back on my bed and slept

I woke up before Soo Ho, so I decided to make breakfast for both. When he woke up I was putting everything on the table for us to eat, he had a wide smile on his face and sat down right where I put his bowl, I sat down in front of him and started eating, we were both in our own worlds so we didn't speak, until Soo Ho, as always, said the first words
"Why are you.. spacing out?"
"Ah.. nothing.. just.. thinking" I said and started smiling, Soo Ho didn't mind much, instead, he was happy for me
"What did you think about Yanji?"
"She's pretty.. and looked like a nice person"
"I know, she's perfect" I have never seen Soo Ho like that, he would always say he is the most beautiful guy in the world and start complimenting himself, never compliment other person
"Soo Yun, I'll be going out with Yanji today, you can do whatever you want, you're free"
"Really? Thank you!" God bless you Yanji, Soo Ho got up and left, I just hope this time the relationship is definitive.

I didn't leave the house because I remembered about what Ban Ryu said, the people that were after me could do anything to me and I didn't want that, so I just stayed at home, reading a book. I was really interested in the book when I heard a knock on the door, I went to check who it was and saw Ban Ryu at the door with flowers on his hands
"Oh, Ban Ryu, what are you doing here?"
"I saw your brother outside and decided to come see you, here, this are for you" he said an dgave me the flowers, they were red tulips, it was really sweet of him
"Oh.. thank you, yo didn't have to"
"I just.. wanted to give it to you"
"I really appreciate it, come in" I grabbed his hand and took him to the couch, we both sat down, I sat at the end of the couch and Ban Ryu on the other side, he noticed it and started getting nearer, but not much
"So, how was your day?" He asked
"Normal, my brother went out with his new girlfriend, I mean, fiancée" he opened his eyes widely, amazed by what I said
"Did I hear it right?"
"Yes, my brother is getting married"
"Married?! I don't think he's ready for that"
"I don't think es ready either, he said he has known that girl for 12 years"
"12 years?! Why has he been going out with other girls then?"
"That girl left the capital.. 7 years ago I think and Soo Ho was dating all my friends thinking one of them would be her"
"Wow.. so there was a reason to why he was a player"
"Amazing right?"
"Yeah.. there's always a reason to everyone's behaviors"
"So, what's the reason for you to be cold towards everyone?" There had to be a reason
"I-I.. I'm forced to be like that"
"Forced by who?"
"My father.. but it's not to be cold towards everyone, he forces me to hate your brother, he always told me backed things of your father and told me his son was not different"
"Oh.. I'm sorry" I put my hand on his lap, as a way of telling him I really felt empathy, he put his hand over mine, then he grabbed it and kissed it, he looked at me into the eyes and I looked back at him, I could see that his eyes were glossy, he had a tear forming, although I didn't know why, I got closer to him and wiped off the tear that had just come out and gave him a sweet smile, he just stared at me for a long time and then said
"Would you like to go somewhere?"
"I don't know.. i don't want people to see us"
"How about.. I take you somewhere away from everyone?"
"Sounds nice" we both got up and walked side by side, holding hands, he took me into the forest, it was very calm and the only sounds that were heard were the singing of the birds, he found a fallen tree and sat on it, he made me a sign telling me to sit next to him, so I did, I laid my head on his shoulders and just stared at the scenery, it was beautiful, we could see the lake from there with a bright sun shining over it.

After sometime of not speaking and just looking at the scenery we could hear some laughs coming from where we entered, we didn't mind it since it could've been another couple who wanted to be alone, but as we heard those laughs coming nearer and clearer I realized who they were and quickly got up
"Ban Ryu we should get going"
"Where?"
"Somewhere, but not here" I said while getting up, grabbing his hand and taking him somewhere else, when we couldn't hear those voices anymore I stopped and tried to get my breath back to normal
"What was that about?"
"Those.. people.. were Soo Ho and his girlfriend"
"Oh god.. what would've happened if you hadn't made us leave"
"I don't even want to imagine it" he put his hand on my cheek and was getting near for a kiss, when some guys with their faces covered came and grabbed Ban Ryu and me, Ban Ryu tried to set himself free but wasn't getting what he wanted, when master Young Shil came out of nowhere and looked at Ban Ryu with an emotionless expression
"What the, Master Young Shil tell them to set me free!"
"Ban Ryu, you're a disgrace" Young Shil said and slapped Ban Ryu on his cheek, making it red, then hit him again, this time his lip started bleeding, I managed to set myself free and went in front of him to protect him
"Why are you doing this to him? Aren't you supposed to be his father?!"
"This guy will not be considered part of my family"
"Don't hit him!" The two guys that were holding me grabbed me again, this time harder so that I wouldn't manage to escape
"Park Ban Ryu, you have dishonored the Park family by dating the enemy and getting distracted! Without mentioning the countless times you have failed your missions" one of the men that came with Master Young Shil said, Ban Ryu remained silent, until Young Shil slapped him again, tears were coming out as I saw the man that made me happy, getting beaten up
"What do you have to say, you bastard?" The guards let Ban Ryu go and he immediately got into his knees and bowed
"I have dishonored this family's name, I have mo right to be called part of this family, please, Dont disown me, I promise to be better"
"Be better? I gave you multiple chances, and you've ruined them all"
"I acknowledge my mistakes"
"Without mentioning, you were the one that took the hostage and set her free, now you're dating her" Young Shil put his feet on Ban Ryu's back, stepping on him, did that mean.. Ban Ryu risked his life to save mine? From his own father?
"What is going on here?" Soo Ho appeared, making space from the crowd and saw me, he forcibly set me free and wasn't letting me go, he then saw Ban Ryu bowing in front of his father
"I free you from your punishment and find you being trapped by these people?" I cried again and begged him to help Ban Ryu
"Get up, you useless child!" Young Shil said and Ban Ryu immediately got up, when Soo Ho saw how hurt he got, emotionally and physically, he couldn't help but go up to Young Shil and threaten him
"What is this?! Are you his father or a person sent to kill him?"
"I am no longer this useless piece of shit's father"
"What gives you the right to disown him?"
"I have all the right of the world to do anything to him, now, what gives you the right to talk to me like that?"
"You're incorrect, you shouldn't be hitting him"
"Soo Ho stop it, he can step on me if he wants to, don't get into things that you shouldn't" Ban Ryu told him, Young Shil told his guards to take Ban Ryu to his house and after leaving he told Soo Ho
"If i see anyone of your family get close to mine again, I'll make sure to kill you all" he then left, Soo Ho took me back home and didn't speak until we got there

"Soo Yun, what happened?" There was no point in lying
"I went out with Ban Ryu when his father and all those guards appeared and grabbed me and Ban Ryu, then his father appeared and started saying that Ban Ryu was a disgrace and started hitting him"
"But why did they do that to you"
"They were the ones who kidnapped me" Soo Ho got really mad and got up, he told me he had business to do with Ban Ryu's family and told me not to leave and I listened to him, and stayed at home, it was pretty boring I have to admit, so I fell asleep and didn't wake up until the next day
