We leave the kitchen and make our way towards our living quarters. Unfortunately, as I turn the corner, mother and her guests have the path blocked sitting in the small garden that my mother planted and convinced my father to build. Thankfully, they hadn't spotted me yet. However, they spotted Hellhound, which is normal for him to wander around the castle alone.
I did spot Iona, one of my mother's friend's daughters. She'd had a crush on me since the day we first met. My mother and her friend has tried to set us up for years but Iona likes to play hard to get. The other people sitting with mother, other than Iona, are Lady Landra, and Dairren. Well, there's no avoiding it, so I step around the corner, long enough for Iona to look up at me.
I approached mother and her guests, smiling at Iona, greeting Dairren with a firm handshake, and a kiss on Lady Landra's hand.
"Lucien, have you met with your father yet?" Mother asked, as I approached.
I nod and Iona catches my eye. She notices me looking at her, blushes, and lowers her eyes. I spend an hour or so conversing with mother and her guests before I say my fair wells. I explore the castle even more, picking a couple locked doors. I then head over to the treasury section of the castle and open my vault.
Smiling at the money, I send the Knight following me, who I now remember as Ser Gilmore, to get a financial advisor. About thirty minutes go by and Ser Gilmore returns with an advisor.
"Ah, mister Lucien, what can I do for you today?" The advisor asks, adjusting his outfit.
"Is there anyway I could carry my savings from my personal treasury?" I respond, looking between the vault and the advisor.
"Normally, sir, we don't advise carrying that much around at any given moment, but looking at your numbers here, we have satchels that allow you to carry three hundred thousand sovereigns at a time in each. How many would you like?" The advisor replies.
"I will need thirteen satchels." I say looking at my vault.
"Sir, that'll be over three million sovereigns. Are you sure?" He asks, hesitant.
"Deadly." I respond.
"Very well, sir, I'll be back momentarily." He says, taking his leave.
About an hour goes by before Ser Gilmore and the advisor return. The advisor has returned with the satchels as he was asked. Each satchel, as the advisor said they would do, held three hundred thousand sovereigns. Even with the money inside the satchels, they were no bigger than medium coin pouch.
With all thirteen satchels filled, I put them in my bag and continue to find my brother.
