Fear in Shadows

(Y/N)'s POV:

As I closed the door behind me,I looked around the new apartment.The kitchen light was still left on,I guess the people who moved out or painters left it on.Shrugging,I placed my suitcase down,lying it down next to the door,knowing that the rest of my stuff was in my (a/c) car.

I looked around the first room,It had a huge window,but luckily wide white blinds covered up the outside of the city.From being on the third floor,It was pretty far up.Then,I walked into the kitchen,not bothering about how the cabinets were wide open above me.

Other than just a kitchen,it was quite dusty in here.Just a kitchen.

I soon checked out this kind of thin hallway,there was the bathroom on the right and two other rooms on the left side.One I assumed was just a chill out room,and the other was my room.The house walls a relaxing shade of white,wouldn't blind me if I stared at it.

I decided I would grab my other bags from the car,until I got a text from my friend Ethan.

(W-You A-Ethan :3)

A-You sure the house you bought is the right one?

W-I'm pretty sure,why??

A-i dunno,I've heard that the people who lived there were like,murderers

W-That's just cliche bullcrap

A-Alright,Hope you have a good day and a easy move in!

W-Thanks bud,see ya :D

{TIME SKIP TO WHEN YE GET YOUR STUFF :3}

Opening the door with a slight creek,I stumbled inside,the bags weighing down on my back and shoulders.As I set down the stuff next to my stuff,the lights went out.

"The hell?God..I didn't expect this first time here." I took out my phone but when I turned it on it was dead."I charged it before I left how did it-?"I trailed off as I nervously looked around.

A chronic fear I had was being scared of the dark,every time I would walk into a dark room I would immediately get this huge sense of dread on my shoulders.

Shaking, I sank to the floor,my body collapsing on top of my knees.Curling up in a ball,I knew it was a stupid thing to do but I swear I could feel a pair of eyes staring into me.

"H-hello?"I knew nobody was gonna say something back,I was sure of it."Hello."a husky but slightly loud voice came from behind my sunken body.

Making effort to roll over from my frozen position,I had to get up.Who was this?!

"Get up,now." The voice said as I felt myself getting picked up."H-hey,who are you?!"Trying to push myself away from him I only could shake in his rough grip.

"Keep still,would you rather be stuck in the dark?"I narrowed my eyes in the darkness to try and identify the face of whoever got me.He had red and brown eyes and all I could tell was extremely pale skin,almost like a light grey.

He turned his face away from me quickly."Like I said,Do you just wanna be alone here in the dark?"

"U-Uh..no.Not at all...But who are you?"Getting a bit comfortable with the dark,I looked at his torso.Jeez,this guy was only a bit taller than me but he looked strong.

"Darkiplier,just call me Dark.I think I'll be able to provide some light for us to see."He let go of me,as he did I realized that my weight was leaned onto him.I fell down onto my knees,looking up at him as he casually waked over to my bags,or where I think that's where they were.

Multiple questions filled my head.Why was this guy here?How did he even get in my apartment?Wasn't the other peoples power on?Focusing back to reality,I realized that the guy,Dark,had somehow caused light to form from his hands,some sort of light grey light.

I opened my mouth to speak,but then shut it again as he filled the room with a weary grey light.Oddly,it was a beautiful rainy grey,and was somewhat unique."How are you able to do that?"I tilted my head,getting a better view of the man.

He looked over at me,his eyes flickered ever-so slightly with panic."Hmm..I have my ways.Anyways I was just going around the apartment place because someone was supposed to meet me here.I thought this was the apartment because the door was unlocked when I walked in.So sorry miss,I can leave if you want me to."

"Who's the person your meetings name?I kinda have a list of people who live here because my brother,who works here."I'm sure if Dark and I went down to the office,we could ask my brother for the schedule.

"Oh,the guy's name is Sean.He texted me the apartment number but my phone died just before I arrived."He said,pulling the phone out of his pocket and attempting to turn it on.

"Woah,that's odd.Just before you came,my phone died also."We both stared at each-other,tension started to fill the room until Dark sat up and walked to the door,facing away from me."Come on,lets go see if your brother can help us."

With that,he walked out the door,holding it open for me. "Thank you sir." I nodded to him and started to walk down the stairs.
