I couldn't stop thinking about the directors of The Agency and The Facility fighting arrest warrants by the International Criminal Court, the next morning Daniel came in a huff.
"What do you mean you don't want to fight the arrest warrant?" he said.
"Exactly what it means, I need to face justice and so do the directors responsible for all of this" I said.
"No those directors deserve justice the whole world wants blood, even the ones against the death penalty want them dead for what they've done but they won't get your blood if I can help it, they could've stopped this a long time ago and they didn't, you didn't have a choice" he said.
"I always had a choice and you know it, just because we've been through The Facility doesn't mean we went through the same stuff after leaving, you have no idea what I've done" I said.
Before he could say anything people in uniforms flooded my cell.
"Callie Anderson?" one of them said.
"Yes?" I said.
"You're under arrest for crimes against humanity and will be extradited to The Hague" he said as another approached cautiously to cuff me.
They didn't just stop with the cuffs though, they also put leg irons on me.
"Just forget about me Daniel, I'm a lost cause" I said as I was lead out of the cell.
"I don't believe that" he said before I was out of earshot.
The officers lead me to a black SUV which was part of a convoy, then they took me to a private airstrip, I couldn't help noticing some of them giving me side glances mostly afraid and some in wonder, probably wondering why a girl like me was going to The Hague.
There were other SUV's waiting as ours pulled up, once aboard I realized that I wasn't the only being transported, both directors were also cuffed to a bench and I couldn't help myself.
I saw red and lunged at them, it took a handful of guards to restrain me and finally cuff me to a bench far from them.
"I will kill you" I said.
I got so agitated that I nearly broke my wrist trying to get my cuffs off and kill them two, they had to sedate me.
When I woke up I was on a cot in an almost all white cell, there was a change of clothes on the end of the bed, all I could think was at least they didn't change my clothes while I was out.
My neck was stiff from where they injected me and I was stretching it out when someone came in my cell, it was a tall scrawny man in a suit and he annoyed me already without saying a word.
"Hello Ms. Anderson, I'm Thomas Kentwood and I'll be representing you in your proceedings" he said with a British accent.
"I didn't ask for an attorney" I said.
"I was appointed to you for your best interest, so I'd suggest you listen to me and do as I say and we might just get through this. Now I've gone through your files briefly and I think you have a shot at getting off, they forced you to fo their bidding and threatened you with death if you didn't comply" he said.
"I'm getting real tired of people not only telling me what to do, but think they know what's best for me, you took a brief look at my file but have you seen what I've done and why the International Criminal Court had jurisdiction over me? No, so if you want to be my attorney, I suggest you read the full file" I said.
He took a breath and nodded at me.
"Very well" he said packing up his stuff and leaving.
I took the time to change into the clothes provided and ate the bland meal they left for me, at least in The Facility they fed us good because they wanted us beefed up, here they were just trying to keep me alive.
