So, good luck! and on with the story!

The Marauders had moved from their tree to the Potters living room, gathered around the fire. Lily and James were on the love seat, Lupin was of the chair with Tonks on his lap, and Sirius was sprawled across the largest couch, refusing to give up an inch of space.

"There's no point now. We are all comfortable."

"Says the man taking up an entire couch." Remus pointed out

"Whatever. You're just jealous I got here first."

"Because you crawled through the cat flap!" James exclaimed

"So? If you didn't keep your door locked, it would be fine. We're DEAD, no ones gonna steal anything."

"Oh yeah, and where's your motorcycle?"

"That's not fair! You know as well as I do that it was Moony's fault!"

"My fault? How is it my fault?"

"Uhm... You're the smart one! You should have warned me!"

"What, not to leave your things unlocked?" James asked, he knew he won.

"If you two are done being first years."Lily asked teasingly

"What? I'm not acting like an arrogant toerag!" James asked, hand over his heart, dramatic as ever.

"You know what I mean James!"

"I have no idea Lily-flower. I believe you called me an arrogant toerag at least twice a month until sixth year. Then it was once a month."

"He has a point Lily." As much as Remus loved Lily, she was like a sister, and he couldn't help but tease her.

"Now Remus, you stay out of this! You have no room to talk Mister "I'm too old!" Honestly." Tonks smiled, smacking his arm lightly

"What does that have to do with it?" Sirius was utterly confused

"Lily and Remus not admitting they loved us until many, many, many years."

"It was only two for me James. Lily took years to admit it."

"Excuse me? I did not love first though fifth year James Potter, he was an arrogant toerag, remember?"

"Why Lily, you wound me! I'm hurt! My love does not love me!" James fell back into the couch, hand on his forehead

"Geez James, don't be so dramatic!" Sirius teased, causing James to shoot up,

"Don't talk Mister "I'm twenty! I'm SO OLD!

"That is old. Now I'm ancient."

"If you were ancient, what's Dumbledore?"

"Archaic."

"I- You're right Padfoot."

"I'm sorry? what was that?" James threw a pillow at him, hitting him square in the face, "Ouch, geez Mister Chaser, not out of practice are you?"

"Course not, I used to play a pick up game every week with your brother and Shizuka."

"Shizuka's here? What happened?"

"No one knows, he never told us. I think It had something to do with a Leithfold though. He seemed pretty shaken up, and he was in the tropics when he died." Lily answered before James could, James nodded in agreement, when Sirius let out a cry,

"That gives me an idea!"

"Are you still on this killing Pettigrew thing?" Tonks asked exasperatedly

"Yes. Yes I am. Anyway, the idea has something to do with my idea. It's one of my best. It starts off easy enough. He was to get past a field of a million Flobberworms. Then a field of Horklumps,"

"What? But those only have a X rating in Fantastic Beasts!" Tonks exclaimed

"Patience young grasshopper." James snorted,

"You're one to talk."

"Huuuushhhhhh!'' Sirius whined, and James held up his hands in an 'ok, ok' gesture, "Continuing on, next in the gauntlet is twenty screeching Augreys, then fifty angry Bowtruckles, after that he has to make it through a swarm of Chizpurfles, if they get to his wand, he gets a new one and has to start again!"

"This is sounding more like an annoyance than a punishment. You're usually pretty direct." Remus pointed out

"Yes, but i recently did some reading-"

"Wait, Padfoot read? Of his own free will?" James asked, acting shocked

"Hardy, Har, Har. Anyway, I was reading and I came across our old school books, including Fantastic Beasts. Now hush. After that, he gets attacked by Clabbert pustules, and he lights up like a Christmas tree! And on and on it goes, every beast in Fantastic Beasts he will have to face. From Ashwinder to Yeti. Plus, if he dies, he'll have to reface the beast until he defeats it!"

"Wait, even the Basilisk? That seems like a painless death." Tonks asked, confused

"Of course not. The Basilisk will be blinded, that way, the venom will kill him. Unless he pulls a Harry that is."

"Pull a Harry?" Lily asked, although they we able to see bits of Harry's life, they were usually happy moments, for whatever reason, though they weren't happy they didn't see much of the ten years after they died. They were, however, aware of Harry's punishments in the house, and they were very glad these punishments reached only as far as mowing the lawn of cleaning Dudley's pigsty of a room.

"Yeah, I forgot the rules a viewing the living. It means pulling off the impossible at the very last second, though Peter accomplishing that seems unlikely." Remus explained

"So did Harry defeating a Basilisk." Sirius pointed out, remembering one of the few things Harry told him about his past.

"Wait, he did what? My kid is AWESOME!" James exclaimed

"Excuse me? I believe he is our kid. Though, you're right, he's truly spectacular. And in for an earful when he gets here." Lily said, worried because her child always found himself in the midst of everything from the sound of it.

-----

Peter had gotten through the first four levels of the beasts, surprisingly, though it took over fifty tries to get past the Chizpurfles, much to his embarrassment. After the Fwoopers(which seemed to resist Silencing Charms of all kinds) however, he had only a little sanity left, and could barely tell a Hippogriff from a Kappa. So he was having a lot of trouble getting past the Lobalugs, he kept thinking they were Plimpys or even Redcaps. Several days later, he had finally reached the Acromantala, which terrified him so much, the first fifty times he died because of them was because he was frozen in fear, the other 200 was because he couldn't escape. Then came the Basilisk, which took nearly a moth to defeat, then there was the Chimera, which wouldn't die. And on it went, all the way to the final XXXXX beast, a Werewolf. He couldn't bring himself to kill it, he kept thinking of the good times he had with the Marauders on full moons, and sat there, letting it kill him. He knew he deserved it.
