Slowly, my eyes fluttered open, showing me the disaster zone that was the train car. Seat cushions were torn and scattered across the bloodstained floor, the window panes were cracked and shattered glass was littered across the floor along with other broken objects. Slowly I tried to stand, only to wince as pain shot through my ribs. I cautiously adjusted my head to see a deep gash in my chest, hot, bubling blood still leaking out slowly. Panic enters my mind, am I going to die? I look back again, no, it's not that bad. I'll be okay. I think as I try once more to stand. It hurts, but I'm okay, but is everyone else? Limping, I make my way to my sister to see that she, too had only minor flesh wounds, Sombra was a different story. He was awake, laying on the ground taking shallow breaths. I didn't see a single scratch on him, but there was definitely somthing very wrong. I gasped. Do I know a healing spell? Or maby I could do some transfiguration on a piece of glass to make a bandage for his head but... oh, why couldn't I have studied like he did, I don't know how! Panic started to flood my mind, taking what ideas I had left and swishing them around until they were lost in an ocean of fear. What do I do, what do I do! I inner ly scream, wracking my brain. Just then there was a gentle pull as the beaten train slowed to a stop at the Empire's station. We're here! As soon as the doors opened about fifteen nurses and doctors stormed into the car, getting all of us onto hospital beds at impossible speeds. "No. I'm fi-ne. No, get... No, Sombra. Help Som-" I tried to say, realizing I was in worse shape than I had thought. Before I had the chance to blink I was being wheeled towards the doors of the hospital.

"It isn't as bad as I thought, princess. You should be fine to go soon, just let me finish this bandage," said the pale green doctor with a powder pink mane as she pulled the white wrap around my ribs tighter one last time before securing it. "But I must advise you not to run for a few more days," the doctor said with gentle respect. "Thank you, m'mam," I replied getting to my feet. "And remember, don't try to fly again until your breathing levels out, and try to take it easy for a few days, even after that," she instructed gently. I promised would and made my way to check on Netty, I think she woke up a few hours ago.

Annette was now conscious, but didn't seem to get off as lucky as I did, her horn was chipped at the end. A unicorns horn was the only body part on any of the four horse types to regrow, but it took time. It would be dangerous to try to use much magic before the wound was closed, and that could take months. "Hey, Ela," my sister said with a weak smile. "Hi, how do you feel?" I asked gently. "Like my head got split open by an ax," she said truthfully. "Netty," I laughed quietly in a sympathetic way. The rest of her body had only minor scratches, probably from the glass. "I'm bored, do you want to check on your freind Sombra with me?" She asked. "If you think you can manage, he's not on this floor," I said. "My head's hurt, not my hooves, let's go," she joked.

If I thought what happened to Netty was bad, this was much worse. He was asleep, with tubes in his nose and a purple, bruised head. There was a screen behind his bed showing his heartbeats as an anoying beep beep beep came at a steady pace. "He's stable, but we don't know what's wrong with him, or when he'll wake up," a pale brown horse with a blood red mane informed us from behind. "So there's nothing you can do?" I asked worried. "Not right now, but I'm sure he'll be walking again in no more than a month, tests are showing signs of curable, yet severe, head trauma," she replied with a reassuring smile. I tried to calm myself, she said he'd be fine, he won't die, he won't leave me alone in the world for a very long time. "I'm sorry," Annette said putting a wing over my back pulling me closer. She obviously didn't mean to, but pushed on my side, and wincing I tried to ignore it. "What could have even caused this?" I asked her sadly watching the monitor showing his heart beat. "I have no idea, the train was moving too fast to be boarded and attacked, and I don't think somone snuck on and waited that long to strike, but there must have been somone in that train with us," she replied. "Yeah..." I said distractedly, still watching the monitor. "Do you want to see the other boy who was on the train?" She asked as she noticed my tears. I hate crying in front of horses, but you try watching your unconscious freind who might not even stand again for a month lay lifelessly on a hospital bed. The truth was I didn't want to leave, but I agreed, trying to remember where Dr. Medicussa said he was. We asked the doctor and her face grew grim, she looked at us sadly and said, "Mr. Ignobilio is no longer with us, he passed this morning."
