Chapter 8

I poured my coffee into my cup as I watched the news play on tv. Today me and connor are going to tell the rest of the band that we are dating, and to be honest, I'm dreading it. I don't mind telling Tristan, its not him im worried about. It's James and Brad. James has always hated me and this is just gonna top it off. And Brad, well I didn't think he would come but for some reason he agreed when Connor asked. I decided to stop worrying and finish my coffee, placing my cup in the sink and head to my room to get ready.

I let the shower warm up while I put my music on shuffle. I step in the shower and let the water hit me to try and relax. What if I didn't turn up today? Would anyone notice? Urgh, why do we have to tell them anyway.

After a debate in my head on whether I should turn up or not I decide that I need to go with connor so I turn the shower off.

As I finish drying myself I hear the door open and I know its only Becki, so I wrap the towel around me and run out, by the time I reach the lounge I can see her head in the kitchen. I go in to see her with the music channel on rummaging through the cupboards for something to eat.

"What are you doing?" I ask her as she grabs a handful of cereal and pours it into her mouth.

"Oh hey, don't you have to go tell your ex boyfriend that your dating his mate?"

"Thanks for reminding me and aren't you meant to be going on holiday with your parents? Or have you decided to be a good best friend and come with me today" I say with a smirk.

"As much as I would love to come and see that go down, I cant I actually have to go" she says sticking her bottom lip out and grabbing another handful of cereal "They're packing the car now so I decided to come say bye and help you get ready" she says finishing the rest of the cornflakes before dusting the hands off and jumping off the counter to head to my room.

I grab the remote and switch the tv off before following her.

After I dried my hair Becki did my make-up now I just have to get dressed.

"What about this?" becki pointed to one of my dresses.

"I'm going to a café, not a ball!"

"Yeah but your ex is there you need to look good" she says looking through my wardrobe.

"I think I may wear this" I say laying out my light denim skinny jeans and my loose white blouse "with my black boot heels?" I ask her.

"Yeah omg! And those necklaces you got the other day!"

"Ok." I say and start to get dressed.

"I have to go but have fun ok?" Becki says grabbing her bag and giving me a hug.

"Oh, I will. Don't worry. You too" I wink as she leaves my room.

Connor should be here any minute and I still need to feed Milo! He's Becki's cat I'm looking after while she's away. I quickly do that and grab my bag before checking my phone. I have a message off my mum asking me to ring her soon. I make a mental note to ring her when I get back.

After moving some rubbish away I hear a beep telling me Connors here. As I open the door once again he is stood right in front of me.

"You look amazing" he says looking me over.

"Thanks!" I smile at his compliment. He leans in and kisses me before taking my hand and dragging me to the car.
