Chapter 17

Today was the day I was going On my date with brad and I was actually nervous. "You need to text me everything!" I think becki was possibly more excited than me, she had insisted on curling my hair which she was currently doing.

"Okay, how long until your finished? He's going to be here in a minute" it has been 4 days since brad told me he loved me and honestly, I haven't stopped thinking about it since.

" I'm just about-" she dropped the piece of hair she'd curled and put a clip in the side " done!"

"Okay thankyou!" I had a huge grin on my face. I walked over to mirror and checked my outfit. I was wearing skinny jeans with a oversized jumper and a pair of black heeled boots.

"Scarlett!" She shouted "he's here"

" coming!" I ran down the stairs and to the door to see brad smiling whilst becki begged him to tell her where we were going.

"You look gorgeous!" He smiled, I walked over and hugged him.

"You don't look that bad yourself" I smirked. "I'll see you later" I turned to becki hugging her before walking out and closing the door .

"You okay?" He asked as we started walking, he laced his fingers with mine and I smiled at the gesture.

"Yeah thankyou" I turned to him. "Where are we going?" I asked knowing the response.

"Oh come on you know I'm not gonna tell you" he laughed before quickly kissing me

"OI bradley your meant to be a gentleman, your not meant to kiss me on the first date!" I gasped, trying to act shocked and surprise the happiness inside me.

"We all know we won't last a whole date without kissing, we can't keep off each other!"

"er ... It might me different this time" I quickly thought of an excuse.

"I hope it's not, I loved last time" I didn't really know what to say so I kept quiet. We kept walking until we reached a familiar restraunt. "Do you remember this place? It's where I introduced you to my parents and we were both so nervous!"

"Omg I was so convinced they were gonna hate me" I laughed as we went and sat down.

We finished our meals, and argued over who was paying the bill. We took the long walk home, through the park Laughing about old memories. Our fingers were laced and we were huddled together because it was so cold.

"I really missed this scar" I smiled as he brought up my old nick name.

"Well I missed this too" I smiled up at him. He smiled back and we continued walking. We walked to the apartment the boys were currently at and knocked on the door. Joe answered.

"Oh your back come in" he said stepping aside letting us in. I looked at brad and noticed he was wearing the same smile I was as we reached the living area.

"God sake" I heard James mutter, him and dean where the only ones sat there but dean soon excused himself to do some work.

"James leave it" brad said sitting down as I followed him, sitting down too.

"Leave what? All the memories of the things she did to you? To me?! I try to forget but I can't! I can't forget you being so upset!"

"I was upset too! You know how sensitive I was and I'd just been told by my bestfriend her and my boyfriend had an affair!" I defended myself.

"Did you really believe he's cheat on you! Why not ask him? Oh wait it's you Scarlett so obviously you ran like you always do because your too scared to face the truth" I looked at brad hoping he would speak up but he just sat there. Seriously?!

"I was scared it would hurt to hear the truth" I whispered a tear fell at the harsh memories of that day.

"What about me?!" James screamed "did you not think you hurt me! We were bestfriends and you just left! Without a goodbye?! I didn't even do ANYTHING wrong!"

"I'm sorry I just.." I was quiet now, suddenly feeling guilty. Brad stayed quiet not defending me.

"Maybe you should leave. For good. You've ruined his life once, I'm sure he doesn't want it again" I looked at brad seeing if it was true but he just stared at his hands.

"Fine" I walked towards the Door. And that's when I decided, i had to leave.

Really not happy with this chapter😔sorry I've been so busy and to be honest writing this fanfic has been on my mind. But I have so! ~ Lauren xx
