Aelins pov

I look through the mask and try to see how many figures are out side the coffin.

My plan, shift back to Celena Sardothien. And use my knowledge to break out of the cuffs and mask, then the coffin.

I take a deep breath and imagine myself as Celena Sardothien, the assassin who was trained by the King of Assassins, the girl who became the kings assassin by beating all the other worlds best assassins from around tge continent.

It hurt, but i shifted. The iron didnt hurt my wrists, nor my face, and i hated the damn thing. After a few minutes of thinking, i remembered the pin in my hair. I reached up and took it out. My hair fell in my face.

I brought the pin to the lock on my right hand, and picked it till it fell to the ground, next my left hand, then my feet. Next i go for the chain that linked the mask to my head, 'click' the mask drops to the floor. Now to figure out how to get out of the coffin.

I stand there -- or lay, or whatever the coffin is doing -- for a while, thinking of how to get out of the coffin. I can barely tell if its night of day. All i can think about is Rowan, my mate, my husband, my carranam.

                               ~

I was sleeping, until someone decided to wake me up. I dont like being woken up my banging of swords, and magic.......wait, swords and magic..... i shot my eyes open then.

Through a hole that was barely what you could call a hole, i saw people fighting, the crew of Maeve's ship were fighting people, but i couldnt see who.

I grab for my hair pin again, this time running my hands over the coffin, looking for the line of the door, when i find the place where the door was closed, i dragged the pin along it trying to unlock the door. No luck. I then had an idea. Its going to hurt like hell, but i need my powers, my  1 once of water in me. I shift and wait a few seconds after the burning stops.

I concentrate. 1, 2, 3, 4. I count the seconds that pass as i dive into my magic chamber. I go deeper and deeper, looking for the water magic from my mother. As i take a deep breath, i grab a hold of it. I use the thoughts of my mother to get myself to cry, so i can use that power, i use the water, and form it  into a key that can fit any lock, i slip it through the door to the other side, and guide it with my hands to the lock, careful to not touch the door.

The key slips into the lock, and like that i open my eyes, and smiled, 'thank the gods' i think.
Using my hands i guide the magic as if turning the key, 'click' , my smile turns wicked. The door opens, and light floods throughout, i close my eyes, the fighting, it pauses, i slowly open my eyes again. Only to see,  Rowan, Manon, Dorian and Abroaxas on the shit, everyone had stopped and was looking at me, i didnt see Maeve, but i scenced her, starring at me. My smile was still plastered in a wicked grin on my face. I turned, and faced her, the bitch who took me, who dared to threaten me, my family, my court, and.........my baby.

In that small moment, Maeve, the Queen of Fae, looked, scared, terrified, as if she knew what she did wrong, and that she knew of the child that now grew inside of me.

"Youre. Going. To. Pay. FOR WHAT YOU DID TO ME YOU BITCH!" I yelled, no, screamed.
She gulped, and began to walk backwards, trying to get away from me, because she knew, that if i get my hands on her, she wasnt going to live to see another day. And she was right.

I see Manon step behind Maeve, and hold her shoulders, keeping her in place. I knew by now i had fire burning in my eyes, and at my hands, and all over me, but not touching me. I was pissed, and Maeve would see how it ended.
