To my little penguin, a love whom I treasure,
I write this piece with all my heart.
To my little penguin, a friend I cannot measure,
let each word float to your weary eyes.
You are more, than scars and pained smiles,
and joy is what you've been gifted with.
You are more, than the intelligence spanning miles,
for compassion is a miracle created.
Don't take the snowstorms of life alone and afraid,
you will always have me to shield you.
Don't weep for all the loneliness your days had made,
look beyond the horizon to find love.
My little fragile penguin, I know your heart is split,
but you are not alone in this ordeal.
My little smiling penguin, I see your joy is at its wits,
so, I'll do my best to keep your spirits up.
Look into the eyes of a friend who has learned to see,
the reality of your true character and it's worth.
Look into the heart of a brother who has come to thee,
let each word flow beyond hearing but into the heart.
You are, the little penguin, who may seem all alone,
but you are surrounded by love at each corner.
You are, the little penguin, who may have lost her stone,
but know that there is one for you someday.
To my little penguin, I do believe you have done your best,
and in all these years I know you have given your all.
To my little penguin, through each challenge and every test,
I believe you will be victorious, pride you bring me, walk tall.
