Chapter One - The Last Day Of School... Wait.. WHAT?!
I was sat in the usual boring Science class last thing on a Monday. I didn't really know anyone in that lesson who was good enough to talk to so I was simply sat on my own, waiting for the day to end so I could go and say goodbye to my dad before he left to go touring round the world. He would be gone for about a year so I guess it would be lonely... I'd be on my own attempting not to burn down the house with my awful cooking.Suddenly, I was snapped from my day-dream (of almost burning my house down accidentally) by the head teacher who wanted a word with me outside of the classroom. This NEVER went well for me, and everything bad I had ever done, ran through my head. Surprisingly, there was nothing recent that she hadn't already told me off for.
"Alex. You need to gather EVERYTHING you own," she paused and made sure the word 'everything' was really in my head. "Out of your locker and anything else you have around school, like if you left a pen in your lesson or something. Then you must meet me in reception... There's something I have to tell you."
This didn't sound good... This didn't sound good at ALL! I went back into my lesson and picked my pen up which I had left on my desk and then explained to the teacher that I had to go. She understood and I walked about a metre, to where my locker was. I pulled my key out of the pocket of my blazer and put it in the lock, before turning the key to reveal a locker with nothing in but a Hello Kitty notebook that one of my dad's friends got me for my birthday one year. I slid it into my Five Finger Death Punch backpack and continued through the bright yellow corridors and down to reception. I saw my dad... He looked like he'd been in tears. All I wanted to do was hug him but I knew the headteacher would stop me, so I stayed still.
"I cant say I'm gonna miss you Alex..." I looked at my headteacher with a confused look on my face. "Your dad asked me if he could take you on tour with him, and as long as you get some learning done and stop at a school to so your basic Maths, English and Science GCSE's, then you can go with him."
"So you're letting her come?!" My dad jumped up with excitement. "You told me you didn't think she could!" I then realised that my teacher must have lied to my dad about me not being able to go with him and then he got upset... Stupid head teacher!
I squealed and my dad picked me up, said bye to my head teacher and carried me over to the tour bus... I swear he still thinks I'm a little kid. He couldn't open the door with his key so I had to knock and wait for one of the guys to come and open the door. Before anyone did...
"What's the secret password?" I heard Andy snickering from behind the door... You could tell he was the youngest.
"Awwh come on man! It's CC, just open the door!"
No one replied.
"ANDY!" I shouted his name at the top of my lungs. "If you don't open this door, RIGHT NOW, then someone's bound to find out I'm CC's daughter then not only him, but you and the rest of the band will have to answer for you guys not telling people for 15 years..." Slowly, the door creaked open.
"Fucking hell Alex," Andy said quietly. "You should be a negotiator or something..."
I was finally put back on the ground and dumped my bag on what I thought was the floor, but I can't remember floor being able to throw things... Turns out I'd thrown my ridiculously heavy bag onto Jake, the guitarist of my dad's band.
"Sorry.. You blend into the floor..." He just mumbled 'OK' and stumbled off to his bunk to sleep some more. All he ever does is sleep, get drunk, snog Ella (his girlfriend), talk about Ella (his girlfriend) or play guitar. How he ever has the energy for a concert is beyond me.
"So," my dad said while getting himself some Wild Cherry Pepsi. "Wanna see your bunk?"
"Yeah!" Maybe my reply was a bit too dramatic but whatever. "But don't I have to get my stuff first?" He then threw my backpack towards my face. "It's a good job I can catch!"
"Barely!" He chuckled to himself. "Anyway, I packed all your stuff for you because I care... And to make sure you'd end up wearing half decent clothes rather than stuff that makes you look like a prostitute." I glared at him.
"I wouldn't mind if she looked like a prostitue..." That was the bassist, Ashley Purdy. He was more dirty minded than anyone you could ever know. My dad threw a shoe at him, which managed to hit him directly in the face.
I then realised we were moving. Whilst I was showed to my bunk, I learned that me and moving buses, DO NOT mix! I slipped and landed on the other guitarist, Jinxx. I was laughing as I tried to help him up. Well, this was going smoothly(!)
"Well, this was going to be your bunk but I'm kind of regretting giving you a top one since you're so clumsy!" My dad chuckled to himself.
"Well someone's a funny fuck today isn't he?!" I was laughing and then he sent me a serious face.
"Watch the language Alex Destiny Mora!" I sent him evils.
"NEVER, EVER CALL ME BY MY FULL NAME AGAIN!" He giggled.
"Awhh why not? It's a cool name!"
"No, Dad, it seriously isn't a cool name and you're delusional if you think that." He pulled a face and folded his arms. "You're such a child sometimes Dad." He once again giggled and skipped off down the bus.
I pulled my over-sized Black Veil Brides tee and my grey pyjama bottoms out of my bag. I then went into the bathroom, quickly got changed and then after quickly re-brushing my hair, I went back over to my bunk. I checked and I had most of my clothes and at the bottom of my bag, was my little green, stuffed dinosaur with a hat and a monocle... His name was Steve. Steve was given to me by my dad when I was about 4 years old and he was still in good condition, except for his missing ear but that was because of Ashley's dog, Tokyo, who liked the taste of a stuffed dinosaur's right ear.
