Chapter Seventeen - It's Not That I Don't Want To
"Hi my name is Ronnie, I'm an addict. Daddy should have never raised me on Black Sabbath. I'm insane, well I can feel it in my bones. Coursing through my veins, when did I become so cold?" I couldn't help but sing along to my iPod as I went to find where Andy had got to. Ashley was with me but he was never any help. I knew Andy liked this song so I took out one headphone and listened.
Suddenly, I heard a quiet voice singing to himself... It was Andy's, but coming from outside the bus. I made Ashley go back upstairs and went out to see Andy just sat on the floor with his hood up, smoking a cigarette.
"Hey Andy... What's up with you?" He looked up and patted the floor next to him. I sat down and waited for him to speak.
"I just can't really be bothered with a whole years worth of touring... It's not that I don't enjoy it, it's just that sometimes it's nice to be able to chill out a little and do things like spending a day being a sore loser." I laughed a little.
"Well you're certainly good at it." He laughed a little before facing the floor again and I lifted my packet of cigarettes from my pocket. "You got a lighter?"
"Yeah... Since when did you smoke?" He raised an eyebrow at me before handing over his KISS lighter... That boy was obsessed.
"Since I was about fifteen... Come on Andy, what did you expect?" He just kaughed as I lit my cigarette and handed the lighter back to him.
"Hmm... I guess Chuppy doesn't know?" I shook my head. "Good, because it's going to stay that way." I smiled at him and we just sat there generally talking until it started to really heavily rain.
We stamped out what was left of our cigarettes and then hopped back into the bus. Just as we got on and shut the door, the bus started to move again. I guess they were just waiting for us before the bus went to the next place.
"Well you guys took long enough didn't you?" Jake was laughing to himself as Andy and I went upstairs to dry off a little.
Stacey and Ashley were sat playing 21 again, and Ashley was obviously losing from the face he was pulling. He was a sore loser but no where near as bad as Andy. In fact, no one could lose as bad as Andy... EVER!
I went over the mirror at the back of the bus and pulled out my hair dryer. I quickly blasted my hair before straightening it and then I burnt my face when the bus hit a bump in the road. I ended up swearing a lot and Andy, Ashley and Stacey were in hysterics because of my pain. Weren't they just lovely?! In the end I just sat in my bunk and turned on my laptop. I took a photo of my burn with my webcam and then uploaded it to Twitter captioned: 'Never straighten your hair on a moving bus!'
"Is your face alright?" I turned my head to see Ashley sat beside me, giving me a concerned look.
"It's fine, it just burns a little..."
Ashley's P.O.V
"Well it is a burn... So it makes sense that it burns." Alex just stuck her tounge out at me.
"Not as bad as being a cross dresser!" Oh fuck... I thought she'd forgot about that... "In fact," she said, and jumped out of her bunk with the laptop. "I'm going to show the guys!"
She practically ran down the stairs and I quickly followed her, but by the time I was downstairs, the guys had read it. Everyone except Andy was on the floor laughing except for Andy... Andy just looked uncomfortable. I'm not surprised he looked uncomfortable to be honest, it was sick....
"Alex, I didn't know you had a thing for cross dressers!" Jinxx started laughing again and so did Alex. They were so childish.
"I didn't know my cross dresser had a thing for Andy!" You know, it was a good job I loved that girl.
Unfortunately, me and Andy got the same evil glint when we looked at each other, so pinned her down and tickled her. However, she managed to shout of Stacey and in the end, they were both tickling Andy since I wasn't ticklish in the slightest. He finally surrendered and everyone on the bus calmed down, before continuing whatever they were doing before...
Everyone had gone upstairs to the bunks except me and CC who were just sat in what quickly became an awkward silence.
"Chuppy?" He looked over and nodded. "What actually happened the other day that made you end up in a hospital?"
"Well," He looked over, a little worried about what to say. "I got assaulted by someone because I apparently 'stole' their girlfriend or some shit like that... I still don't really know what it was actually about but I'm alright now so it doesn't really matter..."
"You don't think Alison could have set you up do you?" A flash of realisation came over him....
"You know what... That's incredibly likely, I'll call her tomorrow and find out." I smiled at him before disappearing upstairs to find that everyone was already asleep except Alex.
I sat in her bunk beside her and started being all 'Purdy minded'. It took her a while to realise what I was hinting at but when she did, she dismissed the idea hugely.
"I knew you'd be hinting at that soon enough and my answer is no." I pouted.
Alex's P.O.V
I knew Ashley would soon enough be hinting at this. I just don't think he expected my reply to be 'no'. He's used to people just giving into him but he doesn't exactly realise that I'm probably twice as stubborn as he is.
"Pleeeeeeeeeease!" He dragged out the 'e'. I shook my head. "Oh come on. You know you want to."
"Ashley. I said no. I'm twice as stubborn as you and I do have my reasons."
"Go on then. What are your reasons?" Trust him to push it this much.
"Well for one, my dad's on this bus so that would be awkward. Two, I've been eighteen for about two days and you're already going on about it this month. Three, my best friend is also on this bus..." He raised one eyebrow...
"So it's not that you don't actually want to?" I playfully punched him and he pretended it really hurt, "But it is true... That wasn't one of your reasons..."
