When I get back to the pack house I head straight inside without caring to turn off my car. As I enter the front room I immediately sense that something is wrong. I shake it off and head up to her room only to see the Alpha sitting down outside her door with a note clenched in his hand. "Alpha Scott what's wrong? Where is Dusk?" I ask him and he looks up at me with sadness in his eyes. He slowly gets up before reaching in his back pocket and hands me a note with my name on it and says," this will explain." With that he walks away but I can hear him say through the pack link.'James ,Kat, Star pack house now!' I tune it out as they all give their responses and tear open the note. I unfold the paper that was inside to see Dusk's amazing cursive writing and read what it says.

' Dear Darren,

I am sorry I am leaving but I can't handle this any more. I wish I didn't have to leave but something inside me is telling me to.' As i read that I sink down onto her bed with tears silently falling.

"I will be back one day...I don't know when. I am leaving because of what has happened today. In my closet is a box that has your name on it. Open it. It's my present for you. I love you big bro. I will always think of you.

When I finish reading it i close my eyes and bury my face in my hands and i sit there and sob. "My baby sister is gone. And I did nothing to stop her.... " I lift my head up to the ceiling and say,"Moon goddess why did you have to make him her mate. Why are you having her leave us. Moon goddess why would you do this to us. Don't you think me and star have lost enough already and you go and make us lose our little sister also. Why oh goddess why?" I close my eyes again as i mumble the last part and lay on her bed. The next thing that happens astonishes me. I see a blue light behind my eyelids and then feel a hand lightly touch my shoulder. I slowly open my eyes to see a beautiful lady in a flowing black dress that looks like the night sky with silver hair. She has a crown that is made of stars with a moon in the middle of it. I sit up and stare at her. "Darren. Do you know who I am? " the person asks me. I slowly nod my head before replying, " yes. You're the moon goddess. Of course I would recognize you." She smiles at me and my whole body fills with warmth. " Then you know how powerful i am. Darren you may think this is the worst thing for right now but i have a plan. Will you trust me and believe that i will do everything to keep Dusk safe?" I nod my head before responding with a soft," yes I trust you." she smiles down at me and slowly starts to fade away. "Blessed Be Darren." With that she fades completely away. I smile softly," Blessed Be Moon Goddess." With that i lay back on Dusk's bed and close my eyes.
