“Baby girl, open your eyes. You need to open your eyes” I hear someone say. I open my eyes to have a piercing light in my eyes. I close them and reopen them and what I see astonishes me. Kneeling in front of me are my mother and father.  I stare at them with astonishment and longing. I reach my hand up to my mother's face to make sure she's real and not a figment of my imagination. She smiles at me as my fingers brush against her cheek. I retract my hand to my face real fast and cover my mouth as a gasp escapes my lips. “Sweety, we are real. But we are only real for right now.  Here pretty soon you will be shifting. But don't worry about everyone else. You are a special wolf.
