Eradicating the drought
The tree had been fighting through

Soaking into the dry ground
The tree's roots devouring it
Water water water water
The tree
Can't stop absorbing it- so much
Water water water water
It rained rained rained
And the tree
Drank drank drank in all the
Water water water water
The trees roots rotted away
After the days of
Water water water water
And when the rain receded
The tree was dead
Killed by too much
