The waves rise, the waves fall.
The night darkens with a seagull's call.
Across the sands, damp and brown
A lone travler hastens towards town.
And the waves rise, the waves fall.Darkness settles across roof and wall,
But the sea, her endless depths call,
The little waves, with their smooth, pale hands
Erase the footprints from the sand.
And the waves rise, the waves fall.Morning breaks and the town hurries on-
The trill of life sings a gentle song,
The day has returned, but ner'more.
Returns the travler to the shore.
And the waves rise, the waves fall.A/N
Based off something I read a long time ago... I think it had to do with the tide rising and falling but I don't remember. Tried to rewrite the emotions/theme/rhythm here...
