"I'm sorry but we can't do anything. The tumor is spreading and getting bigger in her brain" the doctor explained "She only got plenty of time left. Maybe a week or two."
"Jebal.....Please make her live for a little bit more. I begging you please, do anything you can just a little bit more" I said as I kneel and cry
"We're sorry, but there's nothing we can do. She will feel pain as time pass by until it reach her death. Stand up young boy, go to her and make her enjoy the rest of her life" the doctor gave me an encouraging pat on my shoulder

"Taeyeon-ah eodiya?" I asked her on the phone
"Home, wae?"
"Yah, let's go to the park today"
"Hmmmm sure, let's meet there"
"Nae annyeong~"
It's been a week since the doctor said something about her. And these past few days, she seemed very happy. I didn't tell her tho, because I don't want her to worry. I promised to myself that I will make her days special.

We're taking a walk to the seaside right now. She wanted to watch the sun sets.
"Wahhhh~ yeppuda~" she exclaimed in excitement
I smiled in satisfaction when I see her like that. We stayed there for a few minutes without talking.
"Baek...." she called me "Mhhmmm" I hummed in response
"Please be honest to me......... I'm dying right?" she asked that makes my head turns toward her

"My disease is getting worse, right?" I can see tears forming in her eyes "My life is coming to an end, so why both-"
I cut her off by hugging her tightly. I can feel her tears soaking my shirt. I caressed her hair slowly as I feel hot liquid flowing down in my face.
"Shhhh~. Jebal hajima~" I said to her "Yah, I promised to myself that I will only see you smiling, not like this. I want to make your remaining days special, so stop crying"
"*sob* It hurts so much. Knowing that the end is just around the corner. *sob* And I can't do anything to stop it" she said as she sob silently
"M-mianhe, f-for not telling you. I just want you to remain h-happy" I said
She let go of our hug and look directly to me
"That explains why you always take me out. Gowamo, for all the efforts" She smiled at me
"Ne~ Well that's what I can do as your bestfriend" I said smiling back at her

3rd person's pov
They're walking side by side towards Taeyeon's house as Baekhyun suggests. Taeyeon suddenly stopped from walking as she felt a pang on her head
"Waeyo? Is there something wrong?" Baekhyun asked worriedly
"A-ani. I'm fine, really" Taeyeon ensures. But stopped again as her head hurts like hell "Ahhhh!!" she shouted as she held tightly into her head
"Taeyeon-ah!!" he quickly catched her before she falls.
"Ahh it hurts" she mumbled then suddenly collapsed
"Yah, yah Taeyeon-ah! Please wake up. Ahh jebal" he said frustratingly as he patted her cheeks carefully
"Aaish" he carried her bridal style and went to the hospital
Few minutes later
"Mr. Byun?" the doctor called
"Ne, a-ah.....T-taeyeon" he stuttered
"I'm really sorry Mr. Byun. Her time is off. The tumor is all over her brain, so there's no other way we can save her. You can go in and see her for the last time. You're lucky that she still managed to be awaked. Excuse me" Baekhyun was left on the ground crying so hard.
He fixed himself and prepared to go in. He saw Taeyeon lying and staring blankly at the the ceiling. She started tearing up once her bestfriend enters. He, himself also teared up.
"Hey~" he started
"Baek.....M-mianhe I-"
"Shhh, there's nothing you should be worry about." he cutted her off "I'm the who should apologized. I didn't keep my promise for making your life worth it"
"You, staying by my side completes my day" she said as she smiled at him sweetly.
They stayed in their position for a few minutes. They kept staring and smiling at each other in silence.
"Saranghae....Neomu neomu saranghae, Kim Taeyeon" Baekhyun broke the silence
"Nado......Saranghae Byun Baekhyun" Taeyeon replied
Baekhyun leaned towards her. The monitor that shows Taeyeon heartbeat become slower and some straight line started to appear.
He closed his eyes as he leaned closer. Taeyeon closed her eyes as she felt his lips into her. Taeyeon smiled as they kissed and a tear just slipped on her eye.
The monitor made a sound and showed a straight line. Baekhyun pulled away as he look at her lifelessly. His tears started to fall uncontrollably. He kissed her hand as he burried his face to it and cried.
"I loved you, I love you and I will love you forever. Saranghae Kim Taeyeon" he said as he kissed Taeyeon's forehead
